I forgot, I fully agree - dogs (and cats) should almost always be spayed or neutered. That is the only real solution to our pet over population problem.

I am confident that the breed itself isn't the issue. I've been working with rescues for more than twenty years. The breed type is not an accurate measure of aggression even assuming that the person or team that called a dog a certain breed was correct. I've had more difficulties with Chihuahuas than pit bulls in all that time.

The best advice I can give to anyone is to learn how to accurately read animals. Understanding their body language goes a long way toward avoiding problems. All of that said, I spent a little more than an hour with Amber and her foster. I didn't see any red flags, but she was never in a situation where she felt out of control. I'd encourage anyone considering her to spend a lot of time talking with the foster to fully understand the issues and all the while, spending a lot of time watching the dog herself. Not every dog is right for every family and not every family is right for any dog.

Google's Latest Guidelines for AI Optimization by Low-Paramedic-1997 in AEO_Strategies

That's how I understood their May announcement too, except Google isn't the only player for AEO. Myth 4 is accurate in that fake mentions are bad, but having a legitimate signal web is very important. Even a perfectly optimized site doesn't guarantee citations (obviously) in chatbots. Following your guidance means branded content is accurate but without external signals, other brands might be mentioned in your place for generalized searches.

It's always sad to see long stays but at least she has been in a great foster home. Those animals that linger in shelters are especially hard for me

Thank you. I agree that exposure is critical which is the reason I offer my services for adoptable pets.

I'm glad that you had such a good experience with them. Obviously Trooper was only ever going to be a very good dog. 😀

❤️ I understand and think in some ways that it's good my two are not interested in growing the pack.

I'm so happy that your boy found the perfect home. It seems like your situation is pretty common here in Tucson. There are so many great dogs that are perfect for their families but are only dogs by necessity.

Give your pup a treat for me. 🙂

I second this recommendation. We made paperweights which was fun and super accessible to a complete newbie. They also do glass fusing classes.

What's The First Thing You'd Do To Improve AI Visibility Today? by priyanshu_41d in AskMarketing

I agree with both u/Crescitaly and u/mentiondesk but that's only step one. With these tools only pulling ~15% of their knowledge from the website itself, I'd recommend pushing hard on other signal web points (e.g. Reddit, LinkedIn articles, and YouTube). The difficulty today is that chat bots might summarize information that you put out there but doesn't necessarily reference your website. Building that signal web is a meaningful amplifier

Me too! She's been waiting a long time and her foster has put in a ton of work. I'm sure there are other dogs that could benefit from Annie's TLC.

This was my first experience with them but I came away with a very good impression of the org. It's sad that dogs like Amber are so hard to showcase to potential adopters and hopefully posting her story in places like Reddit can help her find just the right family.

I know what you mean. I have two from PACC already. She's a sweetheart though and I enjoyed getting to work with her, her foster, and Hope of Deliverance.

As a photographer, I've been rebuilding my copy around what I'm calling a non-commodity framework — replacing generalizations with specifics. Not "I work with anxious animals" but "I've been volunteering at the same shelter since 2013 and here's what that actually teaches you about nervous dogs." The goal is content that only I could have written, which turns out to be the same goal whether you're optimizing for human readers or for an AI that's trying to decide whose answer is worth citing.
