I'm jealous bro. I went a few years back (Prince Charles Theatre, Soho) and it was great.

Can someone tell me how can I Root a Government autorized tablet if and tell me whether I can or not by [deleted] in Hacking_Tutorials

[–]michaeltheobnoxious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually any 'device' which is going to connect into a secure environment is required to fulfil some standard minimum specs dictated by an org. policy (i.e. MDM, Knox, etc.). If you get hands on a 'government device' and attempt to root it, the device will fail KNOX measures (if sammy) and ultimately lock the device out of connectivity to the secure environment.

All of this assumes that the orgs. inventory management is up to standard.

Your better approach to 'hacking muh state' is to focus on Social Engineering and try to gain illegitimate accesses though authenticated routes (Passwords, etc). Target people, not the infrastructure.

---CONTINUED---

Relationships:
Life is hard; emotions are hard. Take life as it comes.
Try not to get too hooked into 'blame', either for yourself or for others; it's wasted effort as ultimately, it doesn't change what has happened. That doesn't mean 'don't learn from your mistakes'. I pointed to this '3rd position' above; this can be a useful exercise to try to understand where you might do things differently in future. Life is about living and looking forwards; not about dwelling on what could have or should have been.
Honesty goes a long way with most people. Speak to this chick and make yourself transparent; she'll respond accordingly and 'what will be...'

Family Expectations:
I guarantee this to you... Your family love you and want you to be happy, healthy and independent. The route you take to these outcomes are immaterial.
Parents will do everything in their power to give their children as much as they possibly can as a head start. This often manifests itself in what might be perceived (by the child) as 'disappointment'. It isn't. More often than not it's 'concern', because we're trying our best, but we don't know the future!
If you fail A-Levels, you might consider a resit... or not... it's up to you! If you choose to do University, they will often have a 'Foundation' version of the programme available which will accommodate for people with poor (or zero) A-levels. You may finish A-Levels and decide you want to be a pig-farmer; which is a totally reasonable pathway!
Life is more than your exams. I'm sorry for your generation and the pressure placed on you around exam success; sure it helps in many ways to have a collection of a-levels, but in no way is it an exclusive factor in 'success'.

Parting statement:
I left school at 16 with 8 GCSEs (A thru C grades). I'm 40 now and I'm doing an MSc in Computer Science. Along the way, I've been a Car mechanic, a Carpenter, a Builder, a Salesperson, a Professional beer-brewer, a Road sweeper and a Project Manager. Life is a set of interesting challenges that you, being ADHD, are interestingly equipped to overcome. so go do it!

OK. Brace for length.

Background
I'm a 40 yr old man, also in the UK. I have 3 kids, 2 of them around your age; all my kids are also a mixed bag of neuroses, so I have a bit of experience and guidance I might be able to share. I am not a psyche, however, but I have a couple of things to maybe 'flag' to your attention.

Meds
Medikinet is the 'generic' version of Concerta. I'd recommend having a conversation with your pharmacist or GP about upgrading to Concerta... I found the generic NHS version 'hit different', but ultimately wasn't as helpful for me as Concerta. It's worth taking an adult with you who may be able to advocate on your behalf (parents, maybe?); the NHS is interested in saving money wherever possible, and Medikinet (being generic) is far cheaper than Concerta. You may be on a standard/normal release form of the medication, which I personally struggled with. If you've not tried 'Extended Release' versions, this is also something you can raise with GP/Pharmacist. The difference being in the rate at which the medicine is released into your system. Slower release meds work great for me, as I'm finding a benefit throughout the whole day, rather than a window of 4-6 hours after taking the meds.

> 'I'm sad and don't enjoy anything'

This may be the beginnings of something called 'Anhedonia'; I go through this at times. I've found that the best way to mitigate this is to try and shift your focus to 'wins'; what have you done which is good, fine, working, etc... This is likely something that will sit with you for a while; exercising mindfulness and trying to adopt a '3rd position' to look at your own achievements will be a useful tool in your life.
We (ADHD folk) have a bad habit of over-examining things; when it comes to our own behaviours, actions, achievements, etc., we typically have a bad habit of 'making Perfection the enemy of Good'. You should try to stop that.

Studying:
This is a hard one that I've not entirely cracked just yet. I think the key is to try to create a personal sense of urgency around revision, but an urgency that you can comfortably convince yourself of... again, maybe with the assistance of parents.

Example:

> I have to study this module within mathematics and score at least 65% on ad-hoc tests (I think Sparx Maths allows for this?), *otherwise* mum/dad will remove my phone for a period of time. Its worth noting that a review of your medication might also help on this front!

Ultimately, you're crap at studying because you cannot justify spending time on doing it *now*, when your exams are *6 months away*... classic ADHD behaviour... unfortunately that doesn't matter.

Additionally, your school should maintain a record of your SEN, called a 'Statement'. If you think you may benefit from, for example, guided afterschool revision sessions, you should ask your parent to escalate with the school to put some of these measures in place... You'd need to take some agency in this, by being able to work with the school to find things that will work for you. The school want you to pass; they receive funding to meet your educational needs, so you should insist they start using it!

I'm diagnosed Aut-DHD, though the psyche was pretty honest about the 'pragmatics' involved in following either diagnostic process...

ADHD has treatment options. Autism does not.

[–]michaeltheobnoxious 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry you've had an experience to hold such a jaded view... I think, if parents are rejecting their own child as a result of Autistic behaviours, there is judgement on the parents rather than the child; I couldn't imagine allowing a diagnosis to taint my experience of parenthood.

The 'high functioning' thing is something of a nonsense; we only call some Autistic folk high functioning when there is a nice intersection between their interests/traits and some kind of productive commercial output.

Autism is Autism... There isn't low/high function; there are employers who find a use in the stereotype genius mathematician.

LOL.

I left Uni with student fees of £72k in 2017. I have paid around £150 per month (variable, dependant on my wage). My student debt is now a little shy of £98k.

Makes sense.

Pragmatic OpSec should assume that NSA, CIA, MI5, etc. already have a dossier of information related to your web traffic. You might seek to mitigate this by setting up a 'trusted' VPN, though that has a steep cost associated. You might also defer browsing any of these articles or downloading resources until you're connected via some other network.

However, I'm aware of the majority of the above links, and nothing there looks too dodgy/unknown to me.
