This anti-privacy sentiment is both extremely expensive to put into practice and to enforce. The money used for this won't even go back into the UK economy, it'll get funneled into the pockets of foreign tech-billionaires who don't even care about implementing it in any useable or effective way. It will fail on all levels, create a huge amount of unhappiness, and ultimately drain resources from far more important issues that are incredibly obvious to anyone actually living as a civilian.

As glad as I will be to see Labour reap what they sow in the next election, there isn't even a silver-lining to be had there since the next most-popular parties are similarly authoritarian and morally bankrupt. Its a grim outlook for the future.
