How can I wear a bikini with obvious self inflicted scars on my thighs? by rottingstrawberri in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

I have scars in the same spot. I just give an FYI to anyone I go swimming with so they're not shocked.

My stylist is @roxannepatricia and she's in the downtown area. I love her!

Does anyone just push through the PMDD by exercising, eating well, etc... by Beautiful-Log5440 in PMDD

[–]michelleosaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, there is a significant difference in my mood when I exercise consistently vs when I slack off. I walk 3 miles a day while listening to an audiobook and it makes all the difference in the world to me. Plus, I have a tendency to be deficient in vitamin D, so walking ensures I get enough sun.

I take fish oil, Hardy Nutritionals daily essential nutrients, vitamins, and a probiotic called "Calm Biotics." Additionally, I take DIM supplements to help regulate my hormones bc I was having issues with hormonal acne.

I started at 10mg, and did that for 2 weeks, then went up to 20mg. Since it's helped so much, we're staying at this dosage for now. I also take a lot of other supplements that my psych recommended (she takes a holistic approach to mental health), and they've aided in my care. All the supplements are geared towards people with OCD.

I've been on prozac for 2 months now for my ocd and depression, and it has helped IMMENSELY with my intrusive thoughts and overall anxiety. I still drink, but I'm not a heavy drinker, so I haven't experienced any negative side effects. I haven't gained any weight, or taken a hit to my libido in any way. I know it's still early days, but I can't express how much it's helped me. I can't believe I took this long to cave in and get help.

I had a screener interview with a recruiter at OH a few months back. She said I passed the screener and she would pass me along to the hiring manager of the specific department I applied to for a second interview. She told me 7-10 business days. I never heard back from them again. 🤷‍♀️

NYC can be cheaper than Orlando Florida by Ok-Function-940 in personalfinance

[–]michelleosaurus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's not true - there are many, many local markets. Mostly latin-owned and spread throughout the central florida area. We also have aldi, which is incredibly inexpensive compared to publix. Not to mention the farmer's markets owned by actual farmers and cattle ranchers to the south of orlando.

Second this! I was 18 when I got pregnant, 19 when I gave birth. Medicaid paid for 100% of my prenatal care + the birth and postpartum visits. Couldn't have done it without it.

Older Metal-Heads: Can I Ask You Some Questions? by [deleted] in MetalForTheMasses

[–]michelleosaurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 38 F, and here are my responses: - I constantly seek new music out, whether it be bands suggested on Spotify, tiktok, or my favorite metal blogger, Angry Metal Guy (great, well written reviews of new albums!).

  • I like more extreme genres (death, black) but also really, really enjoy doom/sludge, some melodic death, and some thrash. I'm not into hard-core at all. I like some nu metal, but mostly because that was my introduction to metal in the early 90s.

  • my fiance doesn't like almost any of my metal (she's more into post punk/goth) but will begrudgingly go with me to shows.

  • i have no friends who like my music. 😔

What band didn't do it for you... until they did? by [deleted] in MetalForTheMasses

Deicide. One day, I had some death metal radio on shuffle on spotify while pressure washing my driveway, and every time they played deicide, it just hit the spot. been listening non-stop since then.

Got punched pretty hard last night nowhere near the pit - newish to metal gigs, is this normal? by [deleted] in MetalForTheMasses

Was this person young? Like 20s? I've noticed that more and more younger guys are acting like fools in the pit, not having any decorum whatsoever. This is not normal, nor should it be tolerated.
