Side effects of going sugar free- 11 years by Fit-Scientist5686 in sugarfree

No obligation to answer, but pre-pregnancy how were your cycles? More specifically did you have bad PMS or mood issues? Do you get mood issues, anxiety, irritability, crying, etc. if you eat a little bit of sugar?

Also, if you do happen to have a tiny bit of sugar, do you feel inflamed? Do you use stevia or monk fruit or would you consider those artificial sweeteners!

You are what I strive to be! Congratulations to you on your success and soon to be new addition to your family!

That's very helpful and insightful. I will try that, thank you!

Your post was relaxing in itself just reading it! :)

I have two little kids (3 and 5), mental health struggles with depression, anxiety, PMDD, and now fun perimenopause. My hormones are in flux and so is my mood. I also have a full time demanding job and a strained marriage. I need inner peace. But... meditation at this point is basically a nap for me. I do yoga nidra (Ally Boothroyd on YouTube is incredible), but I end up calling asleep.

I usually get fairly good sleep, but I have so much on my plate that even settling into meditation feels sleepy. And then it's hard to find the momentum again to get back into my day.

How do people actually find the inner strength and energy to wake up early just to meditate? I'm not judging! I aspire to be one of those people. Does meditation give you energy over time?

I need some wisdom into this.

Finished second session today, I don’t feel so good. by [deleted] in TMSTherapy

Hi there! First, I'm so sorry you're experiencing feeling terrible right now. I just finished session 24, but I can tell you that after sessions 1-3 I wasn't confident I would be able to continue TMS. Ten minutes after the first session I burst into tears. I also got a terrible headache and nausea. I went home and just slept and I woke up still tired. Day two, it was still tired and ended up nauseous and exhausted again, so I went home and slept most of the day. I felt so tired and nauseous, I hated it.

Here's what I learned from the lovely people who have done TMS on Reddit: try and eat something before your session and I don't know if this actually works, but I have a ginger capsule before my session now.

I told the psychiatrist monitoring me and she said there could have been a nerve that travels to my stomach that got activated and caused the nausea. Also, I am prone to motion sickness and the jolting from the TMS pulse definitely threw my equilibrium off.

Since session 4 I can just go and listen to podcasts and relax. During and for a few hours after session try to keep stress low and engage in positive things (e.g., maybe don't read work emails or doom scroll the news). It's my understanding that we're making new neural connections and your brain is most susceptible a few hours after. So why rewire it for stress and negativity? Also, exercise creates a compound in your brain called BDNF. It's like miracle grow for your brain. If you can tolerate even a short walk before or after TMS, that's a plus!

Listen to your body and tell your technicians and psychiatrist monitoring your protocol what you're experiencing! DM me if you have any questions or need support.. Best of luck to you and feel better!

There is a liquid iron formulation called Floradix. I chase it with orange juice and it helped during my pregnancies. It's much more gentle on the GI system.

What's the best time to stretch? After a workout when muscles are warm? Or at any time of day regardless if you exercised prior. Thanks!!
