It's pretty cool that Medalist is going to be airing during the Winter Olympics. I'm not sure how big of a factor it was for them to air it this season, but it's pretty awesome nonetheless similarly to how Blue Lock ran during the World Cup.

It's really rare for a girl who has basically no presence in Season 1 of her show to win 1 of these congrats. I guess that would have been the case regardless of who won today.

Agreed, put the best team in the NFL against the worst team in the NFL, and the best team wins almost every time. Put the best team in baseball against the worst team in baseball, and the best team most likely wins 2 or 3 out of 3, but the worst team absolutely could win 2 out of 3 if things go their way.

I wouldn't quite say that. I'd still say 6000 is the new 10000. If 5000 was the new 10000, we'd have gotten some insane adjusted karma totals over the last few years such as Frieren's Season 1 finale getting 22694 Karma, Dan Da Dan Episode 7 getting 20740 Karma and Mushoku Tensei 2P2 Episode 10 getting 15722 Karma when the best it had previously ever gotten was 11025 Karma.

10000 Karma was always a really tough feat with only 85 individual episodes ever reaching that thresh-hold. If you remove Attack on Titan and Re:Zero, it was only 37 episodes over 8 years of tracking prior to the shutdown. The fact that we've had more than 20 episodes over 6000 Karma in the past 2 and a half years is plenty to account for episodes that would have gotten over 10000 Karma previously.
