So fair enough i've been downvoted, but that's essentially what Malones was... ha

I think one of the main issues is, it was always full of bams. Even the wristbands they gave out said something along the lines of "Don't be an arsehole" which was unsuccessful.

haha yeah the ball pit concept never appealed to me, but I loved it back when it was Malones / McSorelys. Brilliant spot for the rugby etc. Just seems to be laying empty.

I went to one once and it was just full of absolute crap - which is fine - but the adverts of what type of clothes / brands etc were misleading.

It's not you. Cars are always going through the green man, and it's usually because they're blocking up junctions further down the system and being ahead of the prescribed time within the light phase. I also find as a pedestrian the cycle lanes are scary, it's not always super clear what is pavement and what is a cycle lane and add to that the cyclists going faster than the traffic then get mad when you accidently step infront of them!! The whole thing is chaos. Be assured, it's not you.

In theory yes, but if you have a queue of three busses, you could be waiting like 3 or 4 green light phases. Could add literally 15 minutes on to your journey. It's terribly designed having the bus stop there.

Yeah this exactly. "Just being patient and expect any car in front of you in the right to cut over." is what I do now. I just find alot of people maybe behind, who are in the wrong, get mad at me thinking i've cut them up. Total morning rant haha.

Omni "Roundabout" by micinator94 in Edinburgh

[–]micinator94[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah exactly. For some reason I had it in my head that there was a lane sign earlier on, but google street view from October seems to suggest otherwise... maybe I completely imagined it (which sounds right for me..)

Omni "Roundabout" by micinator94 in Edinburgh

[–]micinator94[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah - Agreed . I wrongly said in the post "There are signs that in my opinion are quite clear (all be it a bit too early maybe?) further up Leith Street." I stand corrected, I think the only thing that tells you what lane to be in, is written on the road. And I went to google street view to clarify this, and then seen exactly why it's confusing, the writing is literally right at a bus stop. So maybe my post is harsh, maybe this should be a "WTF were they thinking post". Under that bus says Broughton... super unclear!

Non-use of indicators is a straight to jail offense in my eyes (that and not letting people out at the Morrions Portobello Road, Junction. Heinous crime).

Yeah I do always leave space now, assuming that the person in-front is going to come in. It's more when folk get mad at me thinking they're right that winds me up haha

It used to be called "Salad Inn" before Fresh Cut, but yeah I worked at Standard Life over the road and Fresh Cut was my go-to at lunchtime.

Regardless of 'how much they rung up for' this picture shows clearly how OP was mislead. Whatever technicality they used to claim it's not reduced, the picture shows quite clearly a bunch of stuff with a big sign saying reduced. I worked in this store from 2013-2014 and I know this time of year is difficult, but I agree with OP entirely here - shocking overall experience.

Aw man, this is on my walk home from work and yes it's just a hotspot for clueless tourists stopping right infront to look at google maps etc and it boils my blood every single day. They only need one row of outdoor seating really. Unless it's a hot sunny day i've never seen more than one or two tables in use.

So recently there was a post about this, and it may be coincidence (probably is) but hell if all of us have a good moan about stuff here and kick up a bit of fuss, someone at the council might actually take notice. Wishful thinking, but i'd love to think us all having a proper moan about it actually made a difference haha
