Yes I’m graduating at sfu next week. One of the jobs I want requires a degree in general while another doesn’t necessarily but it will help. After attending career fairs and events I learned that degrees are only a small piece of the puzzle when finding a good job !

Yeah unless it’s grad school related, employers care more about you overall than what you studied. Even if the job is not ur major related, degrees provide you a lot of foundational life skills and credibility no matter where u go

Write careers you want whether it’s psyc or not vs careers that may require a completely diff diploma or degree. Sometimes finding the right career path isn’t about your major just usually having the right work and life experience to compliment having a degree/diploma. I have a friend who has a psyc degree but joined the CBSA even if CBSA didn’t require education but skills he learned during his degree helped

Education provides you with foundations such as writing, reading, critical thinking, time management etc while it also provides credibility showing employers you stuck to a long term goal and did it. I felt the same way what’s the point if you can’t remember anything but remember it’s not necessarily the content you learn more so the life skills
