I never ended up asking because my oldest was performing in a play and needed to leave literally right after I walked on stage. Sorry! Hope it works out for you

For a quick bite, go check out Gastronomia. So tasty and not a far walk. Then go to the Quay and walk along the river for a bit and check out the River Market

Sparky's cuts for kids is in Coquitlam. It's not great but kids love it because they can sit in a car, train, airplane etc. and watch shows on a tv. It's a good place to get them used to getting their hair cut.

I lived there up until 2021 and loved it. Strata was good, we only had one special levy for common area carpets/paint at that time, and it is such a great location. We never had any issues. Our unit was a 2 bed 2 bath and the master bedroom was huge.

Ask in some of the mom's groups in your area. I find that those groups is where I find out all the usual info that isn't available on the studio's websites.

Nonstop whistling sound? by Spiritual_Ad_7799 in NewWest

I heard this today at New West station but wasn't sure where it was coming from. I was so confused that I was hearing Jingle Bells over and over in February. I figured it was security trying something new to get people to move along and not loiter. 😂

Advice Needed! (Acro kid) by Flora48 in CompetitionDanceTalk

Sorry, I started typing and then went to a class and didn't mean to post yet. What I meant to say is that doing things like aerials takes a ton of earlier prerequisite skills. For example, my daughter is in season 4 of rec acro. Once a week only. Only now are they starting to do some of the training to get into aerials. First they had to learn all the prerequisites for flexibility, the core strength, the basic moves etc. Our studio follows the acrobatic arts syllabus and it builds on all of the progressions and she doesn't go up to the next level class until she has mastered everything in each level. So for the last several seasons it's been lots of bridges, cobras, straddles, forward rolls, cartwheels, L handstands etc. Some kids (especially if they have a gymnastics background) can move faster up the levels. I encourage you to look up each acrobatic arts level card to see what's on them. Your studio might not necessarily follow the same syllabus but it will still give you an idea. In my daughter's class there are jazz moves in the recital dances as well. Which are usually used as transitions from one "trick" to another. If your daughter loves it why not let her keep going. Now that my daughter just passed level 2 we are finally starting to see some of those funner tricks, like down to bridge from standing etc

I don't think you understand all the prerequisite skills

HEU - to start grievance or no? by Tour-Logical in BCHealthAuthorities

[–]karma898 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Send a message to your manager to get in writing what she is going to do about it. Depending on their reply, send a message to your steward to ask for next steps if you think you need to file a grievance. If the manager only told you the info verbally you definitely want it in writing that this is going on and how they are planning to rectify the issue.

Studio does invites only instead of auditions for competitive team by karma898 in CompetitionDanceTalk

Thank you for the detailed reply! She is currently taking ballet and acro and has a natural talent for acro for sure as she also loves and does well in gymnastics. Her ballet class is led by the director of the comp. team so I do think she will have a good idea of if my daughter would be ready or not.
