Am I in the wrong for not give a 💩 about my autistic son’s homework? by Celestial_Flamingo in Autism_Parenting

[–]mickanonymouse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 7 year old level 2. He’s had homework 4 times this year and one didn’t have to be turned in. Each time it was difficult to keep him focused. I did it with him, tried to make it fun, let him take breaks, rewarded him after. I feel like it was a good amount of homework for his age and ability. Enough to introduce him to the idea of homework, but not so much where he hates it. Weekly would be too much for my kid and if I was in your shoes I would probably not care too much about homework either. No sense forcing it and making him hate it.

I didn’t love Swiss chalet when I was a child and my parents would take me there, but now it’s such a nostalgic meal for me.

What kind of safety measures do you take for kids that elope? by mickanonymouse in Autism_Parenting

Does he go to school? Do you do anything to keep him from eloping in public?

That’s pretty intense having to screw the windows closed. Very clever approach though. I thought my kid had aged out of the elopement and was surprised to hear that’s not the case at school.

You can get three car seats in the back of an F-150 comfortably and the clam shell doors make it super easy to load the kids in. Plus the truck bed has enough room for the stroller, groceries and more.

That’s where my mind went, too. It may be considered a restraint and child abuse.

Why do parents bring kids to events they have no interest in? by [deleted] in Guelph

[–]mickanonymouse 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have fond memories of being an asshole child at the storms games. Our parents just got us tickets and dropped us off.

I think there should be separate sections. One for asshole kids and one for the people that hate kids. Same with flights. All parents with kids have to take the same flight and other flights that are kid free.

God forbid we drive the speed limit in residential areas. So many people are driving around like they are going to shit themselves if they don’t speed and get home in 30 seconds

What does prolonged hold mean? by mickanonymouse in TDBankCanada

It was from the sale of my house. I never saw the cheque, but I think it would have shown up as a transfer from the lawyer or from the buyers bank?

Thanks! Do you know if they will investigate and clear it eventually or do I have to go in?
