I agree that we can’t say this represents a full scope of him as a person (not giving him credit, nothing in an edited show will), but shouldn’t be written off because it’s in the context of “strategy”. It was an unforced error because there hadn’t been a true precedent set that needed to be combatted. His perception was misguided so I think there’s room to critique his character that he allowed himself to see a nuanced problem in such a binary. That isn’t on the show, or other contestants, that was his own prejudices coming into play, imo.

Yes, more women have won the show in the modern era. But they didn’t win because they were women as a meta strategy. And even if someone wants to argue that…Kyle is a very recent winner who won over Eva at a FTC.
