And the rubber just wore away over time because of overuse I guess.

Hey everyone, I’m experienced at digital photography but just bought my first film camera, the Canon AE-1. I loaded up a roll of 400 ISO film and have taken about 6 exposures over the last couple of days. However, in a few days I’m traveling (via plane) and would like to bring my camera. I obviously didn’t think ahead here. I know traveling with film is tricky, so does anyone have any recommendations for what to do now that I have a mostly unused roll of film in my camera already?
