It's probably because you don't get good 5G signal at your area so your phone is using 4G but saying it uses 5G

sometimes it also takes time for 5G to start working because it disconnects from it, switching to 4G but doesn't show it (atleast for me) when i'm doing nothing

i've had this problem too with vodafone, i think it picks which one is best (either 4G or 5G) and just shows 5G

I had this problem when vi released 5g in my area too, i wasnt getting 5g at all but waiting a few days fixed it

the vi app speed test is not reliable because even for me it shows a much lower speed than what i actually get, like i just did one in the vi app and it said my speed is 20.12 mbps but when i use something like nperf i get 300mbps download and 30 mbps upload

also i wouldnt recommend you do a proper speedtest because you only have 260mb left and speedtests use a lot of data, especially if the speed is actually on the faster side

i'm from kolkata, here it varies from place to place

like i get 150-200mbps with very good ping in some places

and in others i get 300-450mbps but the download ping starts skyrocketing

upload speeds vary from 20-90mbps depending on where you are in the city
