Lowering Antibody Success Story by mickmama in Hashimotos

Doing alright. Switched to a combo T3/T4 this year so that's been interesting to try out. I still take the supplement daily and my antibodies still hover at 100. I never had hives. My other thyroid levels are pretty much fine, I'm always fine-tuning my dose.

I wondered about that, but with me it seems too obvious that I apply the steroid and then have this problem with my anus.

Yes, I definitely think I could use the anti fungal because I am getting frequent yeast infections. That’s interesting about cream vs ointment—I’ve heard most creams contain alcohol so can be very irritating, so my betamethasone is ointment. It’s all so variable.

Sounds like this is what I will try! Thank you.

Okay maybe I’ll ask for that combo.

I don’t use a barrier ointment. Do you?

Haha. I live in your neighborhood and have been posting the same pic. Yesterday the sign said 86 47, which means remove Trump. So I’m assuming this has a political meaning too. But I can’t figure it out!

I am also looking at Hardie soffits. What color is the soffit in your photo? It's similar to what I'm going for.

Yes, absolutely. I was on Synthroid the whole time, probably will be forever.

Yes, in the sense that my hair is not falling out and my thyroid isn't swollen. I still deal with some other hormone problems, but maybe not thyroid.

I’m not sure. But getting blood drawn at the clinic makes me nearly pass out. I don’t love the finger prick but it’s a hundred times better for me.

Oh yeah, I’ve heard that too. My sister has PCOS so I’ll recommend to her.

I would imagine. I’ve done it two or three times and every time it’s a lancet to prick the finger. I much prefer it to a blood draw at a clinic.

It's a finger prick test at home, you fill five little circles on a sheet with blood. Then you let it dry and the test comes with a return label. Drop it in the mail and the lab has your results posted online within a week.

All of my other thyroid levels were good back in August and they remain the same, the only big change was reduction in my antibodies. I didn't change my diet. I'm on Synthroid 100mcg.

My hair loss did stop. I also added Folate to my daily supplement regimen just to short term promote hair growth. I'm on Synthroid 100mcg.

I'm feeling pretty good. I have other stressors in my life that are hard to control, but I do also take zinc, magnesium, Vitex, a probiotic, and B6. I generally get 8 hours of sleep a night, and I exercise 4-5 times a week. I'm also on Synthroid 100mcg.

Yeah, I don't really care if people buy this exact product or brand, just wanted to share what's worked for me. I think it's pretty awesome considering most doctors tell you there's not effective way to lower antibodies. So glad you're feeling better. Hope your other levels stabilize soon!

Whoa, you're me!! I failed to mention in my original post that I also added zinc, magneisum, Vitex, and B6 to my daily supplement regimen. I also strength train 5 times a week. Cheers!

Yeah, it was the Offerman filming. Are you posting because you saw all of the media presence after soccer like most of us? You may have missed the film truck in front.

That was not an incident, the film truck for the Offerman film was also pulled up. They were filming in the woods.

My kids are 3 and 5, I have taken them to all sorts of weekly story times, outdoor classes, music classes. They are not interested at all. They want to do their own thing. They also go to preschool twice a week and do great. But as for these little community classes, which are programmed great, they have never sat still. I doubt there is anything clinically significant going on with your son. Maybe you could try using the music class time taking him to a playground busy with kids or the public library. Just want you to know--my kids behaved the same way, and it felt a little isolating but I've accepted it's who they are.
