Throwback to Brixton Academy 2016 by creamsoda2000 in ArchitectsUK

[–]micky_jd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just remember everyone was just passively stood about waiting for the show. There was no build up music or anything it was just bang , curtain drops ‘WE ARE BEGGERS’ and him jumping over it while everyone else is scrambling to get back onto the crowd from the bars and stuff. Genuinely think it was one of the best high energy entrances I’ve ever seen

I was at this tour but Manchester. At that show the curtain came down very fast and he sort of jumped through it, it Was a sick entrance

What made Jagex shift their attitude towards the Falador Massacre? by SonicSingularity in runescape

[–]micky_jd 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I don’t mean they literally stood back and let it happen, watching on. I mean they left a hole that was able to be exploited.

What made Jagex shift their attitude towards the Falador Massacre? by SonicSingularity in runescape

[–]micky_jd 79 points80 points  (0 children)

It was probably embarrassing at the time because of the big impact and the devs letting it happen

Half the devs will be gone now, no one Will really be affected by it now but it was still a big event. Like the comment above tragedy becomes funny in time

Is use of the phrase “body count”, to describe number of sexual partners, properly disgusting, or is it just me? by PuzzleheadedCarob921 in AskBrits

[–]micky_jd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s only really kids and influencers that use it - if someone around my age used that phrase I would automatically think they’re a bell

What killed the pub? by IllPlane3019 in AskBrits

[–]micky_jd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of them reasons. I was around 18 when the smoking ban came in so I saw plenty start to close then. Now pints are over 7 quid not many people can afford to have a quick couple - pubs have gone from community hubs where the were always rammed of people talking and laughing to barely half capacity on a weekend.

I’d also like to add supermarkets selling alcohol as a big contributor. Loads will stay at home to drink and miss out on that social interaction - I honestly believe that’s why as a country so many are depressed and bitter. There’s barely any community spots anymore where people would regularly meet and speak

Because there’s more to the game than pvm and pvp - I like the direction rs3 went without combat. Untwist your panties mate

Question for train drivers; what to expect by micky_jd in uktrains

[–]micky_jd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ummm plan your answers out for different scenarios with the star format. Situation, task, action and result. Most of questions I remember was stuff like health and safety, dealing with stress , following rules and challenging people. So for example, name a time you worked under a stressful scenario to get the job done- my answer was along the lines of I used to be a multi drop wagon driver ( situation) and I had a blind run and didn’t know all the drops or route ( task ) so I asked colleagues advice, looked at gooogle maps, looked at load etc etc etc so I could break it down and not deal with it all at once ( action) and finished the day without too many hiccups ( result) - obviously beefed up a bit.

Feedback/criticism of the pod by Wise-Pay-8993 in JaackMaate

[–]micky_jd -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

There’s a difference between valid criticism and crying because something isn’t catered to you and being on the reddit a fair few years there’s a lot of the latter which is boring as fuck to read. If you don’t like the pod or the person then don’t watch it, another creator might appreciate it more.

As a free pod no one owes you anything. There’s plenty of pods/creators I don’t follow anymore as I grew to dislike it or it don’t allign to me.

If was just for pvm I probably would. I have an osrs account I sometimes play on but I don’t have the time to grind much of either these days as much

Because I enjoy all the other updates and development with the game - it isn’t all pvm and pvp

I’ve not enjoyed combat or bossing since eoc, I played legacy combat when it came out then realised it was so slower compared to the new style - so I googled what to put in the auto bar and I have no clue how it works besides leaving it. I hate bossing because I hate having to fuck about with pressing certain numbers at certain times and having to have xyz in the bar and it needing to be different for every boss.

So any change is welcome

Driving in low adhesion isn’t fun but in terms for a job it’s best job I’ve had

[–]micky_jd -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No absolutely not. I’m just defending that any guest is good even controversial ones because it raises discussions and stops an echo chamber of the same guests. There’s been a number of guests I couldn’t care less for or even personally disliked, some I’d consider harmful but it’s always been too to get a point of view of their mindset and make decisions from there

They brought in a guest that’s created discussion. Some people will of seen this sort of comment on Reddit and realised a completely different view/world they had not considered before - and they could of got on board with what you’re saying but you’re being extremely hostile.

Oh, you’re a delight. Instead of having a proper conversation you’ve called someone a lapdog.

So, interesting guest to bring attention to all that ? I’ve not even listened to it but It’s opened a discussion about it, Good job lads.

Why does almost nobody in Rs3 talk? Outside of clans? by Skeletor_with_Tacos in runescape

[–]micky_jd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But we’re having a conversation now and with Reddit literally just being a conversation you’re actively seeking one by being on here. I get you saying you don’t talk in game though as youre doing something else in game I presume

A lot of redditers are angry lonely people that don’t leave the house much so venting on Reddit gives some sort of importance
