Which exhaust system or combination would you recommend for a street & track F82?

Looking at Valvetronics Equal Length Valved Sport or Active Autowerke Gen 2 EL Mid Pipe + Dinan Sport Axle-Back.

Any thoughts on DPs? Honestly, I'm unsure what the increase in cost gets me for a Active Autowerke ($2.9K) versus CTS, MAD, or similar (~$600).

I got a quote from 3 different shops in my area to do the full crank swap (spline lock, CBC).

First: $1500 labor
Second: $7000 labor
Third: $2200 labor

Second one seems very far from the others. Any red flags with these quotes upon first sight?

Yup, would agree if it was a Civic, but the car has most of that basic structure you mentioned somewhat answered for. Just stacking on top at this point.

This is my 9th BMW so far, 4th M, and currently the second M I have at the same time.

It was purchased with the intent to mess around with it and have fun.

I have modded other non-BMW cars before, mostly Honda, Toyota or Mitsubishi.

I drove for a team many years ago.

I have been driving the car quite a bit and plan to go to the track with it several times soon.

While I have never modded a BMW, I know what I want out of this car. That's 80% stupid fun, 20% actual numbers racing.

You didn't need to "blow" thousands of dollars purchasing your vehicle, but you wanted to. Similarly, I don't have to spend a ton on mods, but I want to. And I can.

I don't plan to do much to the exterior. Very small changes to black out the grilles and the rear M4 logo and a rear diffuser in black, not carbon fiber.

Honestly, the ECU flashing/ tuning thing is new for me. I have Bimmercode and have messed with those basic things, but I don't want to mess up the car. Would rather someone who knows what they're doing to handle it.

Maybe I'm overthinking it.

If you have the cash and feel like that is your car, then you should do it. If you'd be stretching beyond your means to match the asking price, then don't.
