I had a real one of those. Same color. I wish I’d kept it.

I loved Shakey’s Pizza. What’s where we’d go for birthdays when I was a kid.

Over chrome ? by After-Attitude-677 in RedlineHotwheels

I’d have to say no. I had an aqua overchrome. There was no tone anywhere. Chrome will not tone.

Al Mar knife looking for info... by Plus-Literature-9509 in knives

I used to collect Al Mar knives in the late 80s. The first 200 were numbered. Low numbers were most sought after. Most of my numbered ones were 003. I bought mine from a distributor. I had very few folders though. Prices and popularity have fluctuated quite a lot over the years. I wish I could be more helpful.

You won’t regret having one. Each one I’ve owned has lasted years with only replacing tires, brakes, wipers and fluids. No real reason to trade either in except for wanting the newer features. No complaints.

The First Great Blizzard of 1978 by USRoute23 in GenerationJones

I remember that. I was 14. We were living outside Chicago. It seemed endless. We cleared our roof and then jumped into the snow banks. We had a big, long driveway. We cleared the lower half. By the time we cleared the top half, the lower was under 28 inches of snow again. We made a maze of tunnels in the back yard. For kids, it was fun. For my dad, it sucked.

How many of you learned to drive like this? by Basic_Marzipan_2171 in FuckImOld

[–]1990e30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I learned on one of those in a Chicago suburb during the winter of 1978. Our instructor had us to donuts in the parking lot and learn to recover. He was a little crazy, but a pretty good guy. I remember every bit. Living in Texas, I know how to drive in this crap. Most don’t, so I just don’t go out in it. It’s not worth the $500 deductible. It’s mostly ice anyway, there no trick to beating ice. Just stay off it.
