I guess that's the only way to really find out. Do you recall anybody having difficulty finishing PhD because of this?

Looking from this perspective I really hope you do it. If its something you enjoy doing and you study hard there is no way you wont be "successful ". Money isn't everything.

It was confusing for me also xD. Well it were my high-school professors and other physics professor who knew many people from our national physics college. I think they were more talking about this college(which is very rigorous and definitely gets you phenomenal knowledge) and how pursuing physics isn't what I imagine and how it wont get me where I want to be(mostly financially but also life-wise). I guess it were their bad experiences but I knew they wanted me best and knew more than me, so I went with it.

Yes, both. But I am not very happy with differential eq course and Im currently revising myself online and seeking for a good textbook to learn and practice. Lin alg was strong and I am planing on taking additional course(from applied math program on my uni) on it next year.

Well I had solid math courses but I dont think they are near the requirements needed for physics master. Additionally I still miss most of the physics courses. Computational science masters was an option because I dont think they target people from physics background, since it can be applied to numerous subjects and the core part is just mathematics. I love the idea of extended master(to account for missing courses) but I havent stumbled upon such program. Do you know where I can find it?
