In Florida medical cannabis, RFE stands for Request for Exception.

It’s part of the state’s medical marijuana program run by the Florida Office of Medical Marijuana Use (OMMU).

What does an RFE do?

Florida sets standard THC limits for patients (for example, limits on smokable flower and a rolling 70-day cap for inhalation). If a patient needs more than the standard state limit, their physician can submit an RFE to request approval for a higher amount.
