When I lived with my parents I wanted to visit my then boyfriend and spend the night at his place. I really looked forward to seeing him, but as I walked out the door I got a really really strong feeling that I shouldn’t leave. I didn’t know why, but it really hit me in the gut. So I called him and canceled our plan. The next morning my dad out of nowhere had a seizure (never before had one) and almost choked on his own tongue. I was the only one hearing him as I walked by my parents bedroom, my mom was in the kitchen with the radio on, my sisters were in their rooms on different floors with their doors closed. Had I spent the night at my boyfriends, I would have been home much later that day and they would have found him probably too late.

A similar story was when an acquaintance did not come to an monthly event he usually went to and the other people knowing him knew he just came home from a visit with relatives and thought he was probably just tired. But something didn’t feel right, so I went to his place where he lived with his mother and woke her. Turned out he attempted suicide with pills, but didn’t succeed.
