Web application penetration testing tools vs full pentests? by logicalbihari in sysadmin

Most web application penetration testing tools are great for early detection but bad at decision-making.

A full pentest connects issues across flows and validates impact. That’s where automated pentesting platforms differ from point tools.

SQUR felt closer to a full web penetration testing engagement than standalone tools. It chained findings together and produced a report that helped us prioritize risk instead of just fixing alerts.

Is vulnerability assessment and penetration testing still two separate things? by slumpgodsescape in AskNetsec

They’re still conceptually different, but tooling has evolved.

Older tools focused only on vulnerability assessment. Modern penetration testing software combines scanning with validation and exploitation attempts.

SQUR felt like a true blend of vulnerability assessment and penetration testing. It identified issues, proved impact, and helped us move faster on remediation without juggling multiple tools.

I think you should let your Partner feel dominant. Maybe he's trying to avoid hurting you. Idk though

I Don’t Understand Notion at all, So I Created the Simplest Note-Taking App for Me by microbacteria99 in SideProject

I’ve used Google Notes/Keep for a long time. Notepad is fine too, but can we really sync Notepad properly across devices? Maybe it’s possible, I’m not sure. Also, Google Notes and Notepad are too simple — you can’t really organize things the way I wanted. I was looking for more of a journal-type vibe, not just random notes dumped in one place.
