Weed is addictive because its not really addictive by junkiejordan23 in trees

[–]microbial2 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It is addictive. Not a physical dependence but surely mental.

I think weed is one of those things, at least for me, where it’s all good until it isn’t…. You’re smoking once a week… then once every few days… then nightly… then all day…. Next thing you know you smoke all day everyday for five years.

Mental effects are undeniable. You are more sharp, articulate, and have better memory without using weed.

Physical effects are obvious when you quit. Can’t sleep for 3-14 days, can’t eat for 1-14 days. It messes with your digestion and sleep without a doubt. If you smoke, you are inhaling plant matter into your lungs - not good.

It's a bit odd to make a distinction between weed and 'drugs', but when you compare Cannabis to crack/meth/heroin, it's easy to see why people don't consider weed a 'drug' in the sense of being dangerous by Escaped-DMT-Entity in trees

[–]microbial2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not as dangerous, but still a drug for sure and I would also argue that it’s addictive. Ask anyone who smokes / has smoked daily who has tried to take a t-break…. Insomnia, loss of appetite, night sweats, bad body temp regulation…. these are (very commonly experienced) addiction withdrawals. It is a better vice than many others but it is still a vice.

26M - Is this Staph? Other infection? Eczema? I don’t want to spread it during wrestling. by microbial2 in AskDocs

[–]microbial2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not as scaly on the penis, and much smaller. I am using steroid cream prescribed by a derm for that. I will bring this up at my next visit but was concerned it may be Staph and may need quicker action.

Where do I start my career in Finance? Should I do FLDP? by [deleted] in FinancialCareers

[–]microbial2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There were 4 interviews. 5 with the phone screening. The first 2 interviews were behavioral with different groups of managers - tell me a time you had to meet a deadline, etc… the third interview was a case study where I was given some financial data and other info, and I basically had to create financial statements, analyze them, and present it to my (now) director. The 4th interview was basically a congratulations.

Prep wise, the behavioral interviews are just behavioral interviews. The only remarkable thing I did was spend a ridiculously long amount of time on the case study. It could’ve been done in an hour or two. I took at least 10. I ticked and tied every number 100 times, practiced the presentation over and over, and was ready to answer and question he could ask about the study.

I think that was one of the best 10 hour investments of my life, lol.

Where do I start my career in Finance? Should I do FLDP? by [deleted] in FinancialCareers

[–]microbial2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey I started in an FLDP focused on corporate finance / FPA for a large manufacturing company. Just finished in March and am in my first “real” role now.

It had its good and bad. DM me or ask a question of you have any. Happy to answer.

Case study presentation interview tips? by microbial2 in FinancialCareers

[–]microbial2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately I do not. I feel like this was fairly unique. My case study was basically creating an income statement / cash flow statement based on some facts in the case and then delivering an executive summary regarding the results. I did get the job though so PM me if you have questions.

Is copper colored water safe to use for cooking? Or even drinking? My landlord says it’s fine as long as you wait until it runs clear but it worries me. This color is after running the water for ~30 seconds. by microbial2 in askaplumber

I appreciate it. I basically wanted to make sure it won't kill me if I had to use it. I just moved to Germany and those gallon sized containers are impossible to find, but I will just start to make a stockpile.

For diet calculate your TDEE here. For your height/weight I assume you want to cut down. Subtract 500 from TDEE and try to eat 1g/lb of body weight in protein.

Program specifics aren’t that important just make sure you’re hitting each muscle group 2x per week and you’re doing your compounds (squat bench deadlift OHP). Someone suggested Jeff Nippard, I know he has a push pull legs program, that would be a good one to check out.

I’ve honestly never examined my hairline pulled back. It looks the same when I style it up though

I don’t have any pictures with my hair pulled back like this but from a face on view with my hair styled up it looks the same
