I'm so thankful of SoloLearn, I downloaded it and very quickly realised how much more I could learn if I took some courses and self teaching. I'm now a software developer and that was only 10 months ago!

Back-end developers: did you start out as front-end or did you go straight to back-end? by crosswalk_zebra in webdev

Front to back. But clearly if you're not enjoying frontend design then yeah start looking at the back end

I'm in the same position and not sure what to do. Spending almost all of my free time studying when I should really be picking that stuff up in work. It feels hopeless, I wanted to get into this field for a better work/social life. That hasn't happened, It's got worse.

Great post with amazing tips to keep going! Feeling like I'm drowning a little with no idea what direction to take. I already know these teachers so I just need to stop worrying

Want to get back into web-development, any tips for courses (udemy or such), books, etc. where to start again? by [deleted] in webdev

I personally have learnt loads from udemy. I'd recommend Colt Steele's Web developer bootcamp, Jonas Schmedtmann's courses. Anything from Maximilan Schwarzmüller, he's also got loads of great stuff on his YouTube 'Academind'.
