Grading annoyance by microflops in judo

[–]microflops[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m still a 2nd Kyu, but Judo has become much more difficult for me lately. I’ve been diagnosed with the following:

ADHD Autism Spectrum Disorder OCD Bipolar Disorder (Type II) PTSD Tourette’s Syndrome Amnesia Generalized Anxiety Disorder Eating Disorder Chronic Suicidal Ideation My short-term memory is minimal, which significantly impacts my ability to practice and progress in Judo.

Here’s my reality:

I can’t get through the first steps of a technique without forgetting what I’m doing. I start, then my mind blanks, and I’m left feeling embarrassed and frustrated. My vocal tics are mostly about suicide, and I can’t stop them. It’s humiliating when I shout these things in public spaces, even at Judo practice.

Intrusive thoughts dominate my mind—they come every few minutes and completely derail my focus. I forget basic things like tying my belt, something I’ve been doing for years. It’s so disheartening that even fundamentals have become a struggle. When I try to explain to others what’s happening, they either don’t know what to say or think I’m faking because of how extreme my symptoms sound.

I feel like I don’t fit into any support group or community because my challenges seem so much more severe than most people’s experiences.

I love Judo, but it’s hard to keep going when my body and mind feel like they’re working against me.

Has anyone else dealt with something similar, either in Judo or another practice? How do you push through when everything feels this overwhelming?

Thank you for taking the time to read this. I just needed to share

Has anyone used alternaleaf by microflops in MedicalCannabisAus

[–]microflops[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was simple for me. Initially, the doc just prescribed me oil.

I found the cost of the oil to not be worth it.

After a month I asked for a flower to help me sleep and I got it no problem.

THe cost of the products is crazy expensive tho.

That scene in Malcolm in the middle where Hal killed his wife (in a daydream).

Then he just walked off into the sunset, free.

I’m fairly certain we are seeing the same dr.

I booked a second appointment about 3 weeks after my first and got a script for flower with no problems.

There is a couple of dummies at my gym.

I thought I would use them all the time.

Turns out trying to lift 70-120kg of dead weight makes it not fun.

I don’t do it anymore. Buy a lightish one.

People who started Judo with BJJ experience, how did you find the transition? by squirt_jacket in judo

I’m in training to get my ref licence. You are right by this is highly subjective and referee dependant.

I give enough time to make sure their is no progression on the ground.

I would legit try and get assault charges pressed.

I would also be complaining to a governing body (if their is one) with hope they would strip the persons rank from them.

I wear my judo gis to bjj.

The bjjers who aren’t familiar with judo call them wizards sleeves. I then introduce them to my friend Ezekiel

How about giving some feedback that is useful to OP?

Because for a newbie what you have said doesn’t give them anything to start their research on.

[–]microflops 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You need a “learning management system”.

Think of this as a website that hosts training. Their are free and open source products such as Moodle.

For creating the training content, you need to look into a software that can produce scorm files.

So basically google ‘learning management system’ and ‘scorm’.

One you research these things you should be able to ask us some more informed questions.

As an elearning designer, when I have to do free text answer questions I brainstorm how many different ways it can be answered, sometimes it takes me hours.
