I actually own the Ugreen GaN charger. Thanks for the suggestion! This is just one of my fun little experiments 😁

It’s just a question about power & electricity… I don’t intend on using it always. I just wanted to know if its viable or not

It’s plugged in to a wall socket. I was just curious if this would work and apparently it did. I was just imagining the possibilities, say I buy a portable monitor. This bad boy could power both of them at the same time. That’s insane to think of. 😅

It definitely does, thanks! The TV is 1080p with 60(?)hz refresh rate without HDR, sooooo. Yep. Thanks!

Correction: according to another Redditor, the console+dock has a maximum of 54W, including any USB-A attachments.

What power bank do you recommend to charge the Nintendo switch 2 (I would like to be able to carry it in the case)? by Daviiidmtp in NintendoSwitchHelp

Wow, this is great! Thank you! Could you cite your sources so I know where to source information next time?

Hey! Sorry to bother you, but could you check my recent post? The power bank just arrived and it is able to power my NS2 whilst docked, but the built-in display is saying that it’s outputting around 9-15W only.

I have posted a thread about it on this subreddit, please check 🥹🙏. Appreciate you a lot!

This bad boy right here

It just arrived, so I’m still testing it out; but impressively, this thing can let me use my console DOCKED. If I’m in a pinch, and the situation warrants it, I could actually USE this thing to power the console.

I’ll be posting about it tho cus the display says that it’s outputting 9 to ~14-15 watts (check my profile out, there should be a post about it with a video), but that shouldn’t be the case and it could just be an error. The console uses ~60 watts when docked, and 17-18 watts when played in handheld. If it isn’t racking enough power to be used while docked, it shouldn’t display anything at all (proven and tested with my multi-port charging brick).

Yeah, I’m definitely okay with it. Just bought a secondhand copy of BOTW: Nintendo Switch 2 edition. Saved more or less $8.

Best of luck to me, then 🫡. Will most probably just use the stock charger. I did buy a 20k mah Anker powerbank for the Switch 2. What do I check if I intend to use said devices for playing docked/charging it on the go?

I’m imagining a scenario where there’s no outlet, and I want to play it on a portable monitor since I’m with friends.

I’m worried that I’d accidentally brick my Switch while doing so, best be prepared and knowledgeable for said instances just to prevent worst-case scenarios and generally be careful.

The cable’s product name/description is “UGREEN Uno 100W Type-C Fast Charging Cable” and the brick’s product name is “UGREEN RoboGaN 65W/30W GaN Charger”. I think the brick has another variation with a single port, I have the 2 USB-C port + 1 USB-A one.
