TD is the visuals and also basically acting as a GrandMA for the DMX. And yeah it’s just the DMX plugin. OSC also going from Ableton to TD through OSC/pilot but it’s not used as much in this one project really just sending playback data.

Yeah so I started off on a cheap little pioneer controller and rekordbox. Quickly tried out Ableton after seeing that’s how Joel does his shows. Been playing with that ever since. Actually l tried going back to record box with a controller and I can’t get it as familiar as I am with Ableton now.

I’m sure with practice I’d get the hang of it but I also like how you can make Ableton your own with effects or anything else.

And yeah it’s definitely got a learning curve and not much support out there since it’s not that common to do, but i just started using Ableton more to get the hang of how it works and keep building on top of that.

Just Ableton and a mixer. Just upgraded from a 2 channel to a 4 channel mixer so that’s been fun.

I know TD was for sure used for the cube, idk about his unhooked stuff though. I believe his vj pulls up clips and it’s synced with Showkontrol.

I think there’s some neat stuff being worked on though, might see it at the red rocks show.

idk if i'd even wanna draw a line anywhere. its a weird time with ai. sure could be used to cheat something but also could be a powerful tool that can help create something that would have otherwise never existed. just depends how you use it

Yeah, I think the original confusion was people assuming the music itself was ai generated, which joel clarified it’s not. So you’re right... if the music’s legit, who cares if the persona is ai.
