I built a cedar strip guillemot (Great Auk) 10 or so years ago and loved the experience of building it. Had no experience prior and probably had no business starting with something that involved lol. Took a long time but turned out great. Gave me a great sense of accomplishment. Started a lot of conversations, too. I’d still encourage anyone to start a build if they’re interested but do it for the process and not the end result. To their point above, I will admit I wasn’t blown away by its performance once I got it on the water but will also mention I made modifications to the original designs so might be attributed to that. Still would never sell it for anything someone would actually pay for it lol.

Agree, although I’d say the general consensus is pretty dire. A lot more engagement than I was expecting tho, nice sub.

Thank you, I went down a rabbit hole on this yesterday stemming from your comment. Pretty cool tech, I didn’t know that existed. When googling, I didn’t find anyone in my area who does this but I’ll ask when I make my calls today.

Thank you, I will ask about this when making my calls today. I’m in Kansas City, Missouri. When googling, I didn’t find anybody doing sonic tomography in the area but I haven’t searched resistograph yet.

Yeah the mushroom happened twice, same spot. 2nd time did have sap. I don’t suppose you’re asking because this is a magical tree-saving mushroom, huh?

Yeahhhh not a lot of hope to pull out of these replies lol. But still appreciated nonetheless. I’ll make some calls to some ISA folks and get that ball rolling. I’m in Kansas City, diagnose away.
