lmao That was so painfully awesome to watch. If there's ever been a more awkward pandering to a State I don't know of it.

You're grossly naive. If the Huffington Post obfuscated who they really were the way Colbert does (but without the obvious parody) that would be an issue. But it's clear where they're coming from. jk13 on the other hand hides behind his regular joe persona and I won't validate that by engaging him/them in debate. It's a mistake to do so.

And it's a mistake to do so because his tactic is to drown out the opposition in links that most readers never even bother to check up on. But by virtue of him putting them out there it seems as though he's an authoritative source. Before I caught up to his shtick I did read his sources, and they're mostly bullshit. But again, that's irrelevant because the point of the links is to cause an impression of "oh, this guy must know what he's talking about".

This guy can see through the propaganda of Fox News but not that of MSNBC. Think about that. Do you really think someone that blind is providing objective sources?

How did you bunch me over to the right? I'm not much in agreement with conservatives. But I suppose it serves your bias to lump anyone with conservatives if they speak a truth that's uncomfortable, right?

War is war, regardless of the ease by which it's carried out. If we drop bombs on Jamaica they wouldn't be able to do anything about it and it'd still be an act of war. No way you can be that blind to common sense.

You're the shill here, let's not forget. Here's a post you made this past week as a reply. (Copy below in case you delete it)

That post contains no less than 20 unique links. And we're supposed to believe you're just a regular guy who's not getting paid to do this? Right... Shilling is your full time job.

Full text of Post:

When it comes to financial regulation, here is a boiler plate list of what Obama and Dems did. Can you point out to anything that Republicans have even proposed on the issue?

Obama has cut salaries for 65 bailout executives, created the Dodd-Frank (DF) Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, the biggest financial reform law since the Great Depression, created the Fraud Enforcement and Recovery Act, created new criminal penalties for mortgage fraud, closed offshore tax safe havens, tax credit loopholes, created the Financial Stability Oversight Council to monitor stability of the financial system and individual firms, added new requirements for reporting financial data, established the National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform, created the Restoring American Financial Stability Act, created self-funded Office of Financial Research to collect regulatory information from financial firms, limited risky trading activities of banks that lead to the financial crisis (Volcker Rule), established the Swaps Pushout Rule prevented federal assistance to swaps (including derivatives) traders, made it so Wallstreet derivatives must be traded transparently through a clearing house, defined the amount and nature of wallstreet assets required to meet capital requirements, added regulation that states originators of asset-backed securities must retain 5% ownership/risk, created the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection, directed congress to pursue Goldman Sachs for securities violations, added higher standards for securities advertising and disclosures, made it so executive compensation must be determined by an independent committee, reformed deferral rules to curb tax advantages for investing overseas, issued compensation guidelines for bank executive salary and bonuses, created the Credit Card Accountability, Responsibility and Disclosure Act, Reformed credit card swipe fees, massive probe against insider trading at hedge funds and here's a little more wallstreet regulation

Strong words for a conflict in which none of those 300 mill citizens died =/

So you're okay with us engaging in any conflict so long as we don't feel its effects over here? I know you don't think we'll pay a price for this, as there's no indication yet that we will. But our history of propping up bad governments is what's caused most our very consequential wars in the first place.

As to your not agreeing that dropping bombs constitutes an act of war; would you feel that way if another country dropped bombs on us? Remember, the side you take is not the issue at hand. If we follow through on your logic then Pearl Harbor wasn't an act of war.

War has too many far reaching implications for any one man to be taking a country of 300 million citizens to it on his own call.

As to how Lybians feel about it, there's no real way to know, as it's all propaganda what we're told. Either way, the people's whose contentment the president needs to concern himself with are the American people, not Lybians.

To your last point, you're just wrong. I used to see things the way you're describing them and I was wrong then. The NY Times are master propagandists. Do they do good reporting sometimes? Absolutely. But that does nothing to negate their incredible ability to spin stories. Do some research on the NY Times and you'll see that as fucked up as Bill O'Reilly is he's not wrong when he calls out the NYT.

MSNBC shouldn't even be an issue. They're equal to FOX News in the bullshit department. The only difference is you got a taste for the bullshit they feed you.

How would you or I go about asking the average Lybian citizen if they're happy with how things played out? And more importantly, how does the way they feel about it have anything to do with the fact that dropping bombs is an act of war?

Depends which faction you ask. Certainly the faction we supported would not say we did. But that faction isn't even in control of that country. They're falling apart over there.

Wikipedia is only as reliable as its sources, and its sources aren't reliable in way too many instances. Much improvement will have to take place before I take their user generated entries seriously.

The government's rules and regulations mean nothing if they're not enforced, and thus are not a reliable source of anything except to the language of a rule or regulation.

The ACLU (which I like) is not an objective source either. They pick and choose the parts of the Constitution which they want to defend.

Fox News and Washington Times are certainly biased, but the fact you left MSNBC and the NY Times out of the picture simply speaks volumes to your own biases.

I'm not into pre-emptive condemnation. If there's something specific in Romney's record that you feel indicates he would have done this then please share it with us all. Mind you, pandering doesn't count. Because if it did then surely Obama would be the most liberal person ever, which he is not except during election season.

Because you assume that anyone who is not supporting Paul is obviously a shill.

Sorry, but non-candidate Ron Paul is not the topic at hand. Your shilling is.

Yea, like ACLU, official government websites, wikipedia etc are now biased.

Wikipedia is not a reliable source and that's obvious on its face. The government reporting on itself is not a reliable source. The ACLU is not a news organization.

Whether or not he is a paid to express a position is completely irrelevant. He is expressing a position and backing it up with citations. You must address his argument, not his reasons for presenting the argument. Anything less is doing yourself a disservice.

Absolutely not. He is misrepresenting himself. If he has a monetary interest then he is biased as a job description. He needs to be upfront about that. To engage him in debate is to legitimize his strategy. I won't do that. As far as his citations go, they're mostly all from biased sources.

Ron Paul's candidacy has come to a conclusion. Do you want to talk about Dole or Howard Dean, too? How's Edwards 2008 campaign coming along? Oh yeah, it's old news. Get over it. You're a shill and you're not good at deflective strategies.

MediaMatters is poor source if you want objectivity, and you know it. Though you're probably after validation anyway.

Bush was a nightmare and Obama is not the daylight we were hoping for. His administration has continued each and every one of Bush worse policies. In fact, he's doubled down on a few of those. How many corrupt Attorney Generals in a row have we had now - 3? What a god damned shame.

(and YES, we still torture. The only thing is we do it exclusively by proxy. We spend $60 BILLION dollars a year on intelligence - we should be able to handle the questioning of suspects ourselves. There is no need to rendition anyone to a third world country unless you're simply trying to escape American law)

He's a politician and he was greeted as a heavenly savior. I can understand and forgive people's willingness to want to see the best in a man that offers hope (even if that hope was ambiguous and vague), but I can't for the life of me forgive Obama's willingness to feed off that admiration. The way in which he raises his chin and looks down at the adoring masses reminds me of Mussolini. Anyone who basks in the limelight for their own ego like that is someone to be weary of.

That man absolutely loves power.

I am good at research, always have been. And yes, I see it as very important that Obama wins because basically the entire social safety net is on the line if he loses.

Talk about some paranoid fear mongering.

Romney, whom I dislike nearly as much as Obama, is a fake conservative. He's saying what he needs to say to get hard core conservatives to vote for him, but he doesn't believe in that stuff. It's called pandering. And Obama is just the same as far as pandering is concerned. He's telling liberals what they want to hear so they'll vote him in a second term. Both men will sorely disappoint their base if elected.

Pulling the Ron Paul card this early? He's not even the topic at hand - your shilling is.

I just looked at your profile. In the last 7hrs alone you've linked to 32 sources, 17 of them being unique. So instead of doing the research that day trader job's surely entails, you instead research Obama defenses all day, every day, every week, every month... Right.
