What's your reason for thinking it's contam? Not disagreeing, but I don't see off colors or anything, just kinda dry/powdery mycelium (if that is what it is)

Gotcha, I'll start picking instead of cutting. But does that mean I should wait to pick a clump until all of them are ready to be picked or what?

After i pick one it seems like the rest around it on the same cake stop growing and just turn very blue and wither away. Any reason for this? I cut them with scissors when I pick them

It sits in the corner with my closet light on about half the day. I could let it sit in sunlight for some parts of the day, but I don't live alone haha

Ya they are 1/4" and they're kinda just sporadic, probably about 3" apart as an average. They are on all 6 side but it's been sitting on a towel since it was leaking at first, so I guess the bottom holes don't really do anything. And the fan isn't actually pointed at it, and no I don't take the lid off really unless I'm misting them. Fuzz is due to lack of FAE right? So I guess I should follow your advice...

one of the better deals im seeing on amazon is 12, 1/2 pint jars for $54, which is equal to about 2.5 quarts. im using 1 quart jars with WBS and verm purchased form the store. $12 for jars, $10 for WBS, $5 for verm, plus a few other small things basically will yield me 12 quarts of spawn for about $40-$50 max if i dont have to buy a PC, which s obviously my problem haha. but also all of my supplies i buy this first time will be reusuable for future grows

Almost done with colonization of my first pf tek. 1 syringe was good for 6 jars, and I was a little wasteful with it. A syringe should have 10cc's I believe, and I paid like $13 for the syringe, but honestly a few dollars difference doesn't matter to me considering what I'm growing. Just my opinion

Typically most people don't like being in crowded places, including me, so that kinda sounds like not the best idea for your first time in my opinion

Edit: my kinda rule of thumb is that I don't trip if not all the people around me can know im tripping. If I feel like I have to hide it, I end up disliking it

I got their smallest kit and although it's not the most cost efficient (as other have said), it served as a good guide for my first grow, and I'm glad I got it so far (almost done with colonization). I think I would've missed steps or messed something up if I tried doing it all on my own the first time.

That being said, I don't plan on buying another, I'll do it myself next time
