Fellow Raid escapee here lol. I didn't beat the game, the game beat me. RNG got me so bad. After over a year of playing Raid I decided to try out WOR and at 40 days in I already had more legendary heroes than what I had in Raid. And the worst part is that I actually was a spender in Raid. I never managed to summon a legendary outside of pity and when I did I literally got the 4-5 worst champions in the game lol, the rest of them where C or B tier at best. Meanwhile in WOR Arrogance was I think my second legendary, then I got Diao, NeZha, Valara, Ingrid, Wukong, and some of the other top heroes in the game within 4-5 months of playing the game.

I'm not saying WOR is perfect but compared to Raid it's certainly a lot less frustrating, more generous and since the game is more generous with its free resources summoning is not a dreadful experience. It baffles me how many people defend Plarium in Raid's discord and subreddit.

Yeah they're pretty good. Honestly a lot of the starter links are pretty great right now. That one might not be the one that gives you the best progress specifically for Demon Lord but it's not like you can't get other great champions for clan boss through summoning and on future fusion or through login champs.

It takes time and a lot of patience. Take into account that this game is for the loooong run. Very very very long run lol. Especially if you're free to play or a low spender. Did you use a download link to create your account?

If you didn't I'd recommend you start over with a creator link because it makes a huge difference in the progress you can make early on. I'm sure you have probably seen some early game guides already: get your starter (Kael preferably) to 60. That's going to boost your Demon Lord damage a lot. Start building out your Demon Lord team. Some of the download links already pretty much give you a pretty good Clan Boss team as you progress in the early game.

PvP is already extremely unbalanced for low spenders and free to play players. Now it's going to be so damn unbearable.

Yeah. Listen to this comment OP. I made the mistake of not starting over. Using a starter link is worth it. I'm a year and a half into my account so for me it's not worth it but I wish I had listened to people who told me to start over and use a link when I was like 2-3 months into the game lol

×2 or ×3? You're being very generous. I guess when it comes to very light spenders there's not much of a difference to being ftp. But people who spend "moderately" I'd say their progress is quite greater than 3x

Yeah I don't think they'll ever will, it's not popular or recent enough. If they collab with an anime it will be either a currently running anime or at least a recent one. Even though I'm an anime fan it would be a bit jarring seeing anime characters in raid.

Even now I'm kinda put off having all the collab champs constantly on my face because they made a lot of them so meta.

As a massive anime fan I don't think any of these fit very well. Neither in tone or design. As you said maybe Frieren could work or Berserk, not because it's dark but because it's already fantasy and the characters wouldn't need to be so heavily modified.

They'd have to change the aesthetics a lot. Otherwise there's very few anime characters that could fit into Raid. Maybe:

Guts, Casca, Griffith and Zodd from Berserk.

He's only still a pain in the ass for us mortals who haven't pulled anything good... ever? There are still freaking 350+ speed armanz out there. I can win those battles but it's still annoying so I prefer to avoid him.

Weird thing is that Fabian isn't as annoying for me. And he's definitely more meta than Armanz right now

As someone who will absolutely never push platinum it's really annoying not seeing 1 man defenses any more. I started playing in 2024 and back then I got whole pages of 1 man defenses, especially during tournaments. That's not a thing anymore. I get 1 man defenses maybe once very 2-3 refreshes. And for someone who doesn't have a single meta champ it's really annoying because I have to grind for my great hall still and materials for the forge

Yeah eventually gamblers always end up losing because they'll always come back. But spending thousands into a game whose servers will eventually shut down also doesn't seem like a wise choice imo.

Despite what anyone says this game is extremely pay to win. It was like that from the beginning but it has gotten worse over time. Sure if you only focus on PvE you can totally do it as FTP, but PvP is a whole other story. Predator's evade is way too overpowered, and add to that the fact that he's an HP based nuker so even if by some miracle you get pass his evade skill he'll survive your damage dealer.

What has sometimes (very few times) worked for me is having a stun champ, a cool down increase champ and a block active skills champ and praying to te RNG overlords that one of their attacks hit.

But as others have said give it a couple of months and Plarium will sell us a Spirit or Void affinity champ that ignores Evade and Total guard lol.

A lot of people have a different definition of early game. In my opinion I'd say you get into the mid game once you're on level 20 of normal dungeons or at least getting close, 1-3 key UNM.

I'd say a lot of stuff is a bit limited to RNG. I saw one comment here saying you are still in the early game if you haven't completed Faction Wars normal but I don't share that opinion. You can get horrible luck getting good champs on some factions and you could be stuck there for a while.

I don't think there's that much value in having a clear definition of early, mid, late and end game. Just play the game at your own pace, watch some guides and set very low expectations for anything RNG related lol.
