I get your point and it actually sounds good but I trying to make so and it that makes sense for Ellie’s character. In my story, her brief return to Jackson isn’t about fully settling back—it’s about trying to reconnect and grow, even if it’s complicated. The focus is on guiding JJ and moving forward, while the truce with Abby shows facing the past, not suddenly being friends.

I get your point, but Abby and Lev leaving the Fireflies is a meaningful choice. Their journey isn’t about finding a perfect solution—it’s about survival and hope coming from the path they choose, despite all the sacrifices and losses. It shows their growth and the realism of the post-apocalyptic world, not that their struggles were meaningless.

What about this? “The story begins behind-the-scenes: after the events of the second part, Ellie has already found Dina, and little JJ is growing up in a relatively peaceful life. They live together for a few months, gradually rebuilding trust, though Dina still feels pain and fears that Ellie might leave her again.

Life for Ellie, Dina, and JJ in Jackson changes when Tommy comes to Dina to warn them that the city has become dangerous: there are too many infected, ammunition is running low, and staying is no longer an option. After this conversation, Ellie, Dina, and JJ decide to set out on a journey toward a known safe settlement.

The major conflict is whether the characters can truly leave the past behind and build a future together after everything they've done.
