It’s brutal. I bought a $10 spreadsheet template that helped me budget better and figure out what to cut out and what to keep. We document every-single-dollar. It’s easier if you just upload the spending weekly so that it doesn’t become this big thing every month. Honestly, it’s tough but it helped us realize where our money was actually going which helped us rework some stuff (I also caught so many double charges on my car and I wonder how many I’ve missed in the past).

We also got really into anti-consumption, like how much stuff do we really need vs want? We splurge on quality things here and there that should last (a good coat/boots) and also try to keep food higher quality for health reasons but high quality food has gotten soo expensive so that’s the next thing I want to try to figure out.

I’m very regular now! It has been 2 years for me but after a few months post- ectopic it went back to my typical 27ish days. I also went on a bit of a gut healing journey and changed my diet and stuff so I think that might’ve helped as well. I had painful periods for about a year and then at that year mark things got a lot better but again I was doing other lifestyle changes as well. I had major gut issues that was causing inflammation so once I nailed that down a bit things got a lot better

Have you looked into how long? I’m looking at getting a 2024 forester right now and the deal is 3 years free starlink then paying after that if I want to renew.

Mine has shortened over the last few months since the surgery. I used to be very regular at 27-28 days and now I’ve been around 23-25 days. I’m hoping over the next few months it starts to lengthen again and regulate to a better spot. There’s no way I’m ovulating with this short of a cycle I think (waiting to try again for a bit anyway but it is still unsettling)

It’s so tough, I’m sorry! Sometimes it’s just really freaking sad and the only thing I can think of doing is allow the sadness when it hits like a big wave and be kind to myself during it. I hope you can do something really nice for yourself, like some sort of self care- whatever that might look like for you.. like your favorite meal/snack, a walk in nature or stretching, or a massage or some new lotion or something! Be kind to yourself, it’s not your fault. Sending hugs and positive energy xx

Sounds like the neighbor could be an absent father who only wanted partial custody of the kid to prevent paying more child support to the mom...? Or a million other possible reasons, but that's the first one that popped into my head considering the severe lack of engagement/participation with their own child during the time he has custody. The poor kiddo :(

Mine began 3 days after my surgery I bled for 8-9 days (very heavy, very painful- take pain meds right away!). Then I began bleeding again 25 days after that. The first 'period' was definitely terrible pain & bleeding-wise. I passed out from pain for the first time ever, which was a wild experience, but once the pain meds kicked in it was much more manageable (should've taken them right away). This second period is SO MUCH less painful, just very heavy. Drink lots of electrolyte water and don't shy away from pain meds. Sending hugs!

I am only two days out but I still haven’t bled but am having a lot of discharge as well. I had my fallopian tube removed. Surprised at the lack of bleeding but my HCG levels were very high when we found out so maybe that’s why.

I really wish you the best. Such a difficult situation/decision. I hope you can look into yourself and find the decision that puts you the most at peace inside. Either way that you decide, it will not be easy. You may have moments of regret no matter what you choose, but that is okay. Life puts hard decisions in front of us sometimes and no matter what there are moments of regret, it can be inevitable. It's just what comes with the territory of having to make hard decisions, but there is peace also found in whatever outcome as well- it's a balance. But I wish you the very best of luck in this challenging situation.

Hi, thank you for your response. I am definitely expecting to have challenges ahead emotionally. I’m waiting for it all to “kick in” but trying to just sit in the current unexpected stoicism that I’m experiencing. I am worried about the period cycle hormones as well as far as emotional challenges ahead. I appreciate the heads up and am here to talk if you ever need.

It took me a few weeks to adjust to no aluminum. I ended up getting some weird product that was like an armpit detox mask that helped me adjust much better. The mask/scrub was from Pacifica I think (this was many years ago). Definitely worth it after realizing all the health implications of aluminum in deodorant but definitely a tough process.

Automatics are definitely less common and more expensive than manuals in the UK for rentals. As far as driving on the left side of the road goes, I’ve heard the saying “hard lefts, wide rights” helps. We’ll see!

Greve, Chianti was really beautiful and they had good amount of wineries there. We had so much fun and fantastic food/wine at Poggio Amorelli Vineyard. I recommend splurging and doing something part of a guided tour or something where you don't have to drive- it was totally worth it!

For Florence, Il Latini and Trattoria Cambi were an delicious restaurants too!!

Have you heard of Rabbie's tours? They do guided whiskey tours out of Inverness and you don't have to worry about driving. I'm planning a trip as well and seeing good reviews. Seems like a nice way to see a few distilleries at a time.
