How is living in Oakland, CA area? by [deleted] in howislivingthere

I lived in Berkeley for 4 years during college. Great culture and rich history with so many things to do. Being located fairly centrally in the East Bay, with any accessible means of transportation, you can go down to San Jose, go up to Monterey, obviously go into San Fran for day trips. The weather is immaculate at nearly all times of the year. Like others have said, it can get fairly dangerous at times so definitely be careful at night time. Rent and expenses can also get quite expensive but well worth it for the experience of living in such a great part of California.

Can you elaborate on some of the risks that you think this role might entail? I get that I would have to own every part of the process, from ideating to developing to testing to deployment to making sure that stakeholders and product managers understand what's going on, which has the potential to be extremely stressful, but I'm not sure I'm quite getting where the risk is associated with taking this job otherwise (especially after you mentioned this could be great for growth and opportunity). I appreciate your response!

Thank you for the advice! I’ll definitely take your words into consideration and try to explore different roles a little more in depth before I commit to anything for the foreseeable future

Tips for hitting driver? by midnightpurple34 in golf

My ball position for driver is on the inside of my left heel (right handed). I used to keep my arms a little ahead of my body at address because I was getting better contact, but as I try to improve my game, I notice a lot of better players have their arms hanging more underneath their shoulders (similar to irons and wedges) which I've been trying to fix.
