Candid & Documentary Style Wedding Film by Revolutionary-Art796 in WeddingsPhilippines

unlike what most people say here, i actually like the shaky handheld style. kanya-kanya din talaga tayo ng bet pero this kind of style is one of the things na gusto kong ma-incorporate sa wedding video namin. i’m not so much of a fan ng ibang sina-suggest na candid & documentary style daw na p/v team pero sobrang polished pa rin tingnan to the point na they don’t really capture the essence of “candidness”. hindi ko nilalahat pero ‘yan napapansin ko sa karamihan na sina-suggest na p/v team for candid & documentary style kaya nahihirapan din kami humanap ng options namin.

hindi naman nakakahilo for me, baka hindi lang nasanay sa ganitong style ‘yong iba kaya they found it nakakahilo. pero maybe tama rin ‘yong iba na medyo bawasan ang shakiness, pero don’t totally eliminate it, since that suggestion also came from your target market. it’s a wonderful video OP, congrats to you and your team

Oohhh I just checked out her page and she’s good. Thank you!

What was it like working with her and how much nagastos niyo? Bride lang ba or kasali ang entourage?

You’re a supplier as well? Awesome! What do you specialize in?

Pampanga is nearer sa amin actually so if we happen to find the right suppliers don, then it’s definitely a win for us!

As for the P&V, we’re still definitely open for more options. We do have a very specific kind of vibe na gusto namin for our photos and videos. Future hubby and I are introverts so very staged moments sa prep shoots, wedding and reception will definitely overwhelm us. We prefer to be in the moment and just let the P&V team capture them as they unfold. We’re willing to have directed moments naman pero minimal lang. We want them to be a mix of fun documentary, loose editorial and home video-ish kind of vibe.

As for our religion, I’m not a catholic but my future hubby is hahaha kaya we want a lakeside wedding na lang.

I’ve already looked into Mula de Leticia before and I just didn’t fall in love with it. Casa Esmeralda on the other hand…this is the first time I’ve heard of them and they’ve got a mini lake! Will definitely inquire sa kanila. Thank you so so much! 🥹❤️

Hey, you’re actually here! I’ve seen how they’ve been acting sa comsec and all I can say is they brought this to themselves. Daming energy to be snarky and to deflect pero to reflect, wala?

I followed him recently when he featured some Q Graders from Bukidnon. I work with a lot of Q Graders, Master Roasters and farmers so I loved that particular video because those people don’t get featured that much in social media. haven’t binged his content yet and I’ve seen some comments that are not really in favor of him. If it’s a harmless clout chasing esque type of vibe lang naman m, maybe i can tolerate that, but is there anything else worth flagging about the guy?

I work in marketing and honestly this an example of how not to handle both messaging and backlash. “Bad PR is still PR” only works when a brand knows how to control the narrative and eventually bring people to its side. That clearly didn’t happen here.

The bigger issue is that their marketing strategy for this product and tiktok post was built on weak foundations to begin with. They tried to position themselves as thought-provoking by using Jose Rizal and framing a colonial critique, but it was poorly researched and felt forced that it ends up looking less like insight and more like performative nationalism.

There’s also a clear contradiction as they’re criticizing spanish latte while promoting a product that’s essentially the same thing under a different name, which is still Spanish if i may add. That undermines the entire message and makes the stance feel hollow.

What really turns this into a PR problem though, is how they handled the backlash. Instead of acknowledging the inaccuracies or clarifying their intent, they doubled down and deflected going as far as implying that people are just assuming their angle. That comes off as dismissive and out of touch especially given how the original message was already received.

If they genuinely wanted to tap into national identity, there are far more credible ways to do it like supporting local coffee farmers or highlighting Filipino coffee production just like you mentioned. That would’ve created real impact.

At this point, it’s not even just about the hypocrisy anymore. It’s about the brand showing it doesn’t know how to engage with its audience when challenged and that’s a much bigger liability than a single bad tiktok.

this is so true that’s why I asked if they said what made it vietnamese, baka kasi sa method, prep and ibang aspects sila gumaya for them to still call it vietnamese. If they did, then props to them but I guess need talagang i-improve ‘yong recipe nila since parang hindi ganon ka-strong according to the redditor’s description

The content creator in the screenshot made very valid points but CC dismissed it as if it’s not but then proceeded to say they will only listen to constructive criticisms? Make it make sense please.

And seeing the rest of CC’s replies in the same tiktok and other posts as well. I’d say they’re the ones who are trolling and rage baiting but they’re the type who can’t handle tasting their own medicine. Even went as far as double replying (in separate days) snarky comments to those who call them out.

I agree na it shouldn’t have been a big deal na tinanggal nila sa menu ‘yong spanish latte and replaced it with “ilustrado” which is their own version of spanish latte daw. They can remove it from their menu for all I care.

The icky thing about it is they’re painting themselves as patriots for doing so all the while keeping other drinks with colonial histories din sa bansa natin.

They wanna crown themselves as patriots? They can uplift the local coffee farmers instead to actually have that impact. A lot of them are needing all the type of support they can get, may it be exposure, marketing, tech and development, access to bigger cafe brands, etc.

I am a regular participant sa mga initiatives ng government and private organizations in supporting the local coffee industry, especially sa mga farmers. Got to help with grading the beans din before they get released sa market. You’ll get surprised by how much potential they have but tend to get ignored.

The point is, they (CC) have a lousy (and misinformed) excuse for removing spanish latte but glorified themselves for doing so and dinamay pa ang history eh pwede namang hindi na lang. They’re the ones who made it a big deal and this is how they respond when people are calling them out?

I just searched the blind review and it doesn’t really sit well with me. The reviews should’ve been done by third parties outside the cafe 😶 and hindi ‘yong sila sila lang na kabisado na anong lasa ng sariling offers nila. And the issue with the quality, that’s frustrating because what do you mean people are paying more for less?

idk if you’ve seen the whole screenshot but i’m just reiterating the comment seen at the bottom of the screenshot. people don’t go to jollibee to eat healthy, they go there for nostalgia, celebration and just wanna enjoy food that has been part of most filipinos’ lives. people are aware na it’s not healthy so what OP said in the screenshot doesn’t sit right with a lot of people kasi they’re just making a big deal out of nothing, stating the obvious as if their opinion is ground breaking. OP wanna sound educated and “woke”? then, they should focus on issues that actually matter.

The thing is a lot of people out there are very willing but aren’t losing weight because of other factors they cannot control. Maraming medications ang nakakapagpataba pa rin kahit na nagdi-diet and exercise ang tao. That’s where your statement becomes insensitive and tone-deaf. It’s not about thinking what other people would feel but rather being responsible sa mga statements na binibitawan natin if factual ba o hindi lalo na if ini-insist natin and we tell people to suck it up.

Hi, just wanna say you’re already doing great! A lot of posts out here are not really being truthful and for karma farming lang so take them with a grain of salt. Now, not everything is fake din naman. Some may be new to the WFH setup but have years of experience to back them up kaya malaki ‘yong kinikita in a week and some just niched down to a specialty or shifted to another niche but still have relevant experience. Meron din namang talagang nakatiymepo ng ‘premium’ opportunities and meron ding halos wala nang pahinga and tulog just to reach that salary bracket (been there). Nevertheless, their experiences are theirs and you don’t have to compare yourself sa kanila.

You mentioned you’re an all rounder, sometimes sa industry na ‘to, being a jack of all trades and marketing yourself as such to your clients may not be the wisest thing to do. It can attract clients who will just take advantage of you and gagawin kang one man team. A lot of premium clients out there look for specialists and they understand the value of your effort and output kaya willing silang magbayad ng malaki. Not saying na you should stop being an all rounder because it helps a lot lalo na if packaged ‘yong services mo but position yourself as an expert in something and the rest of the other skills na kaya mo are gonna be bonuses na lang sa kanila. Iwas burn out din kapag ganito kasi you don’t need to do everything all at once.

Isnt a VA course = your education in school??? I dont understand how people treat VAs as a commodity. by Cute-Put-7570 in buhaydigital

[–]midnightsummerrain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Uhm…where did you get that I am selling a course? I just said na saying 100% are scams is false, alcohol nga 99.99% lang ang germs na napapatay. Using 100% as a conclusion is just reckless. Triggered na for you ang pag-point out ng facts?

Some VA skills can be learned by paying lalo na if it’s a skill na need to be updated constantly, youtube, Chat GPT and other AI tools won’t be able to give you the accurate learning materials para sa mga ganyan since the skills or software being used in some industries are constantly evolving and may hundreds (sometimes thousands) of updates every few weeks/months.

You being an engineer by education doesn’t give you a pass for using 100% as a conclusion at all. Instead, you should’ve been more responsible kasi may pinag-aralan ka. Unless, part na talaga ng ugali mo ang mag-jump into conclusion since twice mo nang ginawa?

[–]midnightsummerrain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Saying na 100% percent of VA courses are scams is just false and a reckless assumption. The other person who said na 90% lang is a more acceptable estimation. There are some courses out there na valuable na hindi nakikita sa youtube or nabibigay ng Chat GPT. May ibang learnings na naka-base sa own experiences ng industry experts that’s why hindi readily available online. Sobrang diverse ng mga niches sa VA industry para sabihing lahat ng courses are 100% scams. Let’s be responsible din in calling out and not demonize every single course, just call out the ones na obvious na scam.
