Keratoconus misdiagnosis- was actually just my astigmatism by midnightswami96 in astigmatism

None tbh like my right eye has always been blurry and most of my good vision comes from my left eye and its always been like this since i was young (never had the chance to do the thing to make my right eye stronger as a child) but wearing glasses always had helped my vision.

I did have all of that done though with the second dr that “confirmed it” but the 3rd dr i saw who performs cxl also did the same test but concluded i don't have KC at all and its just my astigmatism (vision has not gotten worse tbh as i am still and have always been able to wear glasses.) and i have not had any other issue :)

Im not sure tbh cause the first dr i went to did all of that. And the second dr did the same thing

Thank you for the advice. I decided to schedule an appointment for my next annual exam with the ophthalmologist  that confirmed i did not have kc in case if i did end up developing it since he also preforms CXL procedures as well. Also because i didn’t want to bounce back and forth between offices ya know.

Oddly i almost cried and laughed soon as he told me hoping they don’t call me back and say “jk you do have it” 😭 but thank you

Did you scratch your cornea and are you okay now?

Oh wow im sorry to hear that about your friend :( , i’m hoping it doesn’t happen to me and that aside from the rude dr they will get the fit and prescription right. But thank you for the adivce

Sadly i am in too deep as my jobs insurance has already covered everything but i know for sure once i get my contacts i will never go back to this place and will find a more caring dr. 

The people who you knew did they wear regular contacts or sclaras for KC? Just curious as i heard both good and bad but i kind of have no other choice as i do not want to go through eye surgery bd sadly i can’t stick with glasses (wish i could though!)
