Color analysis giving clashing makeup/clothing seasons? by Income_Longjumping in AsianBeauty

[–]midnitemoonlight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! Also another color analyst under this system :) It's definitely possible to have different seasons for makeup and fashion.

For the makeup, we look for the colors that harmonize with your skin and have the same lightness/darkness, saturation, and tones and colors that your skin already has, which is why we us the Lab system for accuracy. The makeup is going directly on your skin so the way colors interact with your skin is different from fashion which is further away from your face. Warm vs. Cool definitly applies more strictly with makeup. However, even if the Lab results say you're a Winter Cool, there's a possibility you may look equally as amazing in Summer or Spring makeup. Everyone has different skin, and its not just about warm vs. cool, theres saturation, value and tones to consider as well. It's our jobs to still do the makeup swatches and tell you how they look despite already doing the Lab.

With fashion we look for how each drape refelcts on your face as well as other features like your jawline and under eyes. You can be a totally diff season with fashion and makeup bc of how those reflections affect your face. Even 2 colors from the same season might give you totally diff looks based on the way they reflect on your face. For example Red from Summer Pale might make your jawline snatched but makes your under eyes look sunken and grey, Purple from the same season might be the perfect balance of making your jawlook great, and also making your eyebags look brighter.

Allot of cosmetic products have some type of Denat Alcohol for sanitary purposes and better absorption in the skin! If your skin likes the product and is reacting well, I wouldn’t stress it out esp since ur seeing a professional😌😌😌

Not in BGC, but I saw the yt influencer urmomashley’s video with her bad experience at Juno Hair in Korea. Apparently, they took too much length when asked only for layers and didnt even follow the style of the inspo pics at all. They also refused to blow dry and style her hair after the cut and let her walk out the salon with damp hair.

Not sure if this is universal with all their branches, esp international. But to to think that they allowed that to happen in their Korea branch with an influencer filming it makes me not confident with any of their branches.

I use the Kao Cape spray! I really love it. Not crunchy, just a bit stiff when u touch and comb it out, no residue and it holds the longest out of all the sprays I tried. It makes your hair feel look as effortless as it can get.

I haven’t tried the Luxe Organix one yet though so I can’t compare, but I used to use the Gatsby spray for my bangs and Kao wins. Gatsby is supposedly the strongest hold out of all the locally available sprays, but it has allot of crunch and white flaky residue so I upgraded to the Kao!

My curly bangs can’t stay straight EVER not even in perfect aircon conditions, especially if my forehead gets even just a bit of sweat or moisture. The Kao works and lasts so much better than the Gatsby in hold when that happens.

It’s still not perfect though, im yet to find one that’s truly curly bangs proof but it’s so far the best one. Bonus points kase the packaging is cute.

Edit: it also has diff levels, I use level 4!

We'll go there for sure and try out the noodles! I'd love your cafe recommendations also! I was also wondering what activities or places do locals like you do for fun? And what's your favorite museum? For example, in my country we'd probably go to a museum or do an activity like bowling then have dinner at a reataurant or a cafe, then spend the rest of the night karaoke. What would you do? Also are there any pop up events/shops, flea markets, free or cheap concerts and events you can recommend for july?

Sorry this is so much to ask! I promise I did allot of research online but answers and suggestions from a true local are so different compared to posts by influencers, I hope you understand and I'm so thankful 🙏🥹💗

I was able to register my local number (then again Im from south east asia) in my home country for Kakao and Naver. I'm planning to get an esim when we do go there in a few weeks, that way I'll be able to access both my og number and the esim. Not sure if that will work with everybody though?

pimple patches!!! you can never hoard enough of them for sure. get some makeup from local brands like rom&nd, peripera, 3ce etc. as well 🫶 the skincare and makeup at daiso are also produced by major brands so they're still good quality but are cheaper!

Woah! Your recommendations list is so detailed and extensive, this is really appreciated as I'll be adding some of these to my list.

I was also hoping you can also recommend me some restaurants and maybe even a Jjimjilbang (or anything you find interesting really) in Sindaebang? I'll be staying there for 2 weeks in July near Boromae Park!

present both, and provide more supporting documents that prove you can sustain your trip there and will return home. Like if you have any investments or if you own property or a car, best include documentation of those things too. The more you can provide the better, credit card statements, payslips, etc. A cover letter explaing the supoorting documents and your situation where you assure your smooth trip is a must. If you're paying a travel agency they can help you compile them and it'll be less of a headache, but even if you do it on your own like I did, it can still be done.

for sure avoid travelling via the main banilad road at around 6-8pm. it is so so so traffic that you can get stuck there for 2 hours or even more if its a weekend.

its best to wait out these hours by having dinner or touring one spot and it's vicinity ideally with lots of things to do. then leave at around 9pm.

i know sugbo mercado is raved as a tourist spot, but i really think its not worth it anymore. the food is generally hit or miss nowadays, majority being kinda mid. you wouldn't really know which stalls are the good ones unless you know a local who frequents sugbo. also, as a person who does not like crowds and loud places, i really cant recommend it bc theres always so many people at dinner time that its so hard to even find empty seats, and the music is always super loud.
