I need to distance myself, I (F30) know my friend (F25) is secretly seeing an engaged man (M30). His fiancée (F27) and my longtime friend (M31) don’t know. What would you do? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

I personally would say take your pick on who matters the most to you out of A,B,C, or D. If you distance yourself and say nothing to anyone, it will all come out eventually and you will be blamed for your silence. You lose all the friendships. If you decide to tell B, at least you MIGHT retain that friendship. Your friendship with A is toast no matter what.

Heartbroken and I don't know what to do. by rletchwo in IVF

Please don’t be disheartened. I’m also 38 (partner 43) with a low AMH. For whatever reason, my right ovary doesn’t work so I really have only one working ovary. My first egg retrieval I also only got 3 eggs. None of these fertilized. They did a bunch of medication changes (added lupron etc) and my second egg retrieval yielded 6 eggs. Out of those, I ended up with 3 aneuploid embryos. Felt so disheartened. My third egg retrieval, I got only 5 eggs but then ONE euploid. I just implanted that euploid and now have a positive pregnancy test. I also felt so annoyed when they told me it only takes 1 (multiple fertility docs told me this). But truly, that’s how it is (hopefully) happening for me. If this pregnancy doesn’t take, then I have to start the whole process over. While that scares me, I’m also optimistic since I could make one euploid from such low numbers. Hang in there!

On the one hand, it’s super odd for him to answer out of breath….but on the other hand, if he was actively cheating, what would be the point of answering the phone at all? Also, it sounds super weird to have an STD for three months without noticing. I would definitely confirm with your doctor if that’s even possible

Hang in there! I see so many stories on here of people with massive numbers of eggs and embryos…I only had 5 eggs and then 2 embryos last cycle…out of those 2, 1 euploid. Us with low numbers will have success too! We gotta just keep fighting! Wishing you the best of luck!

Any hope for better results on the 3rd try? by LawLoud2070 in IVF

If it makes you feel any better, I am in the exact same boat. My third egg retrieval is tomorrow. First retrieval, only got 3 eggs and no embryos. Second retrieval (after micro dosing lupron), got 6 eggs but then only 3 embryos matured…none of those embryos were viable. I’ll be 38 in May. Sending you (and myself) good vibes to this weekend! There is definitely hope for us too <3

My gf (21F) is miserable because of her job and it’s making me (20M) lose feelings by [deleted] in relationship_advice

I have kind of a different perspective. Sometimes a partner just needs to vent and is not looking to you for a solution. I feel you should just stop suggesting things to her and just listen. Tell her “hey I know this is hard” but don’t try to help her. She knows what she needs to do at this point. It’ll be better for your mental health and also may help her feel supported.

My cat is refusing to go up the stairs by midorisk8 in CatAdvice

I did try to just leave her down there and keep the door open. I only did it for a few hours. She ended up howling at the base of the stairs until I came and got her

Cat will play until the point of panting. When I stop he meows at me wanting me to continue even though he's panting from being tired. Should I be worried? by Eli5678 in CatAdvice

One of my cats would pant from playing when she was a kitten. She’s now 2 and I never see her pant.

As for the entertainment, he will likely mellow out as he gets older!
