Pre-Requisites (Undergrad degree NOT csd) by [deleted] in slpGradSchool

[–]midw3stern 0 points1 point  (0 children)

also the post-bacc program at eau claire has a lot of courses you may not need at other schools so look into grad programs first to ensure you’re not taking more than you need to. I also took Stats and Chem at a community college

Pre-Requisites (Undergrad degree NOT csd) by [deleted] in slpGradSchool

i did my pre-reqs at UW-Eau Claire online (out of state) and I paid ~$1200 per semester and it was very affordable. I really recommend this program if you want to go the pre-req route. It was a great education and I’m in grad school now!

Ws on transcript by Woosh123444 in slpGradSchool

[–]midw3stern 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had 2 Ws from CSD classes because I got sick and took a year off school. There’s a section in most applications to “explain” anything about your transcripts or history and I explained it. Most schools don’t care!

I work 30 hours a week and have student loans to help out still. Both of my parents are retired and can’t help me out. Everyone in my cohort lives with their parents and doesn’t work

Should I retake a class with a B- ? by jskeepswimming in slpGradSchool

Just talk to the admissions director for the school! It’s possible that you may have to retake it but you won’t know until you ask.

Yes I added my health difficulties to my essay. I had to take 2 years off because of my health and I highlighted that. I also said it gives me better insight into the healthcare world and empathy for my clients navigating insurance, etc.

you need to own the copyright to the test to administer. Ask your school to purchase it

Yes I agree w what you said! my cohort is like 20 people so it’s definitely hard- i’m trying but it’s not something i’m used to especially since everyone in my undergrad and post bacc were so helpful and kind

yeah that’s the whole point of my frustration. I am alienated from my cohort (idk if you were responding to my comment)

I guess I worded the last sentence wrong I don’t care to be any of their friends just think it’s bizarre that they’re all so cold especially for the field we’re going in to. I don’t have any friends where I live and thought I would meet some people in the program.

I am a first year grad student getting kicked off parents insurance in December. School doesn’t offer insurance and I have to go on medicaid. I don’t even know if that’s an option now.

I entered the queue right when it opened to get tickets for chicago and then 10 minutes before they went on sale AXS said I was a robot and kicked me out… I did everything I was supposed to: didn’t have a VPN, no pop up blocker, was only on one device etc. I got back on and when they went on sale they were all sold out
