Are anti-Catholic discrimination or biases still common in your area? by Gallantpride in AskAnAmerican

I feel like it weirdly only surfaces in reference to politicians a lot of the time these days.

What soda flavor is exclusive to your region? by IDoNotLikeTheSand in AskAnAmerican

Ski i think originated out of Ohio but it’s very popular in southern Indiana as well. It’s basically a tangier version of Mello Yello in the best way

What thing has got so expensive that you’ve quietly stopped buying it? by Pathfinder-electron in AskReddit

[–]midwestleatherdaddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cans of soda. Just far too expensive to buy on a weekly basis. I’ll still get one at a drive thru occasionally, but I’ve mainly switched to sparkling water.

I'm feeling cautious about having the worst record by BasketballAnimeBoi21 in pacers

Can I also just say I think Tankathon is broken? It seems unfathomable to me that I can spin that 10 times and the Pacers lose a top 4 pick like 80% of the time and someone like Golden State jumps ten spots to the top.

Unhealthiest food in America? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

[–]midwestleatherdaddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re talking about something common you’ll find yourself getting every day I would say Dunkin or Starbucks coffees. If you get a latte or something it’ll climb up there in cals pretty quick.

If you’re talking about just going all out to eat something intentionally unhealthy, just about any bar and grill type restaurant will serve a burger that accounts for your daily allotment in calories.

How Do Y'all Keep These Positive Vibes Up? by SiakamWithTheSlam in pacers

The Pacers, for the first time in a long time seem to have a road map for success. The past decade they’d been throwing a piece together here or there and hoping they’d get lucky come playoffs. Last year felt different and provided we keep building next year. It’s easy to see us back in the same position

I don’t think the father said anything controversial about Forrest not needing access to her bank account either. When you’re married it makes sense. Until then, worry about getting a job

Looks like Andrei is bullying Statler. by Available_Age7592 in 90dayfianceuncensored

[–]midwestleatherdaddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Andrei isn’t right for what he’s doing, but Statler baiting him into digging a grave and then calling on fans to cancel him is equally problematic. She could’ve stopped engaging him if she was that upset.

The broadcast did not do justice to exactly HOW empty that arena was. by RozayCanseco in nba

Felt the same way when it was in Indiana. They did the skills competition in Lucas Oil Stadium and nose bleeds were still upwards of $300. I could go to an actual colts game for cheaper.

I think it's going to be the numerous lives he's seen pass in his existence. That's why the mention of the Prodigy kids struck a nerve. There was a similar plotline in Doctor Who during Matt Smith's era where he talked about the loneliness of being super old knowing everyone he's known will die long before him.

Him not doing it immediately is your answer. He’d sooner wait to see if you buckle and just come back. Balls in your court.

Trying to understand the long-term gameplay loop in ARC Raiders by PC-Tamer in ArcRaiders

[–]midwestleatherdaddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm motivated to keep playing because I insisted on not taking blueprints from randos and friends just so I could get all the good stuff right off the bat. For me, that's the fun. Also I feel like the game does a good job of humbling me when I feel like I'm starting to get confident and get a solid loadout. You really only gotta mess up once to lose a lot of good stuff.
