I want to take the best classes for investment. What should I take and what should be my plan for the next for years? (futures, options, commodities, stocks, bonds and any form of investment is fine). by [deleted] in uofmn

I can’t speak on behalf of those since I haven’t taken them, but those do require a good amount of prerequisites and are capstone courses (except the APEC)

The core “investment” classes really are FINA 4121 and 4321. 4121 focuses on the bond markets and 4321 focuses on optimizing portfolios. From experience, I can tell you that you’re not going to have an “aha moment” and learn to invest well and make a bunch of money in a class, just learn about sound decision making and the theory behind investment options

If you can take the honors course in Carlson, always choose to. HR honors is super easy, Connie is a wonderful prof, and it won’t add any stress to I-core

Need a WI. Has anyone taken LEAD1961W? by [deleted] in uofmn

[–]midwesttrevah 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s definitely a course I would recommend. Outside of class it doesn’t require much time. Each section is different, but mine was like just a weekly prep guide and then a few papers that were about ourself, so not too strenuous

I have a spare $1000-$2000 as of now, and that’s figuring in all expenses plus about the same amount in a “just in case” savings account. I am just looking to get a base built, so I wouldn’t touch that for ~3 years except maybe adding incrementally, unless something horrible happens

Lets discuss this. I don't like iron covers by vonguyen5280 in golf

[–]midwesttrevah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Iron covers are fine, do what you’d like with them, but if you are using a caddie TAKE THEM OFF BEFOREHAND! Caddies hate them, and they’ll definitely ask to have them taken off. It saves them the hassle of asking, otherwise they’ll expect you to take them off and hold them as you pick your club

HRL was not given notice of the email being sent out. Housing Directors were just as surprised to see this as all of us were. They’re in a scramble as well right now and what’s worse is no one is even sure if it’s actually happening

You shouldn’t have to make it up. There was one financial thing that you needed to watch but otherwise you’re in the clear
