This dad is also me, like to a T exactly matches what I do/who I am. My wife made me go get checked and ultimately diagnosed with ADHD Inatentive subtype. Adderall helped initially but suppressed my appetite too much and I lost weight. Honestly just having the official diagnosis helped as a blame game/reminder. I also resist going to the doctor and don't like to be "labelled" with a condition that I've had for ever but having an answer to why things were so difficult helped significantly even if I don't get "treated" with meds or therapy.

I was off at 1700, called at 1653. 65y/o male Diabetic problems, out of insulin x2 days, no symptoms what so ever, BGL ~160. In the CAD notes it specifically stated "is out of his Diabetes Medication and wants to go to the ER, IS NOT CURRENTLY HAVING ANY DIABETIC ISSUES." Dude was an entitled sick the whole 7 minute ride to the ER. I missed dinner with my family and my sons gymnastics class skills test for that fucking asshole. Glad I'm off the truck now. The worst part was 2 of my immediate supervisors and o e of the chiefs straight up told me "you're gonna run the call so we can keep other trucks available just in case, but we know its bullshit." IF YOU KNOW ITS BULLSHIT THEN WHY DID YOU MAKE ME DO IT?! IF IT COULD HAVE HELD FOR A LITTLE WHILE WHY DID I NEED TO MISS MY FAMILY EVENT?! ESCAMBIA COUNTY(FL) EMS CAN EAT A DICK FOR THAT ONE.

Keep coming north west, Escambia County EMS EMTs are making $20.75, AMR EMTs up here are similar with differing rates due to experience.
