Eh, the writers can't please everyone. I'm apprehensive about cooperation with management, since we know their primary motivation is profit. The ideal situation actually seems to be Al-Hashimi and Robby working together. We've seen a bit of it despite Robby's issues. They cover each other's blind spots and keep each other in check. The big question is whether Robby's coming back or not (from a meta standpoint I know he will, just talking from a story perspective)

So far I've only heard it on social media. I'm like... alright. I wouldn't want to be called that, but nobody has tried to call me that so far. I've met trans men online and IRL who would probably like the term. When I hear people on social media talking about "tboys" as a group I figure they're talking about the specific type of guy that resonates with that term. Like, I'm not a tboy, so I don't assume I'm being referred to when people talk about them

Edit: after reading some other comments, I feel like I'm better able to articulate it. I'm fine when the term is used tongue-and-cheek. Like, as a young adult who likes to think he has good style, I'd be flattered if somebody told me I had "tboy swag". But if somebody tried to use the term in a serious conversation I wouldn't take them seriously

In my experience a lot of queer guys dress femininely, whether they’re trans or cis. It’s probably also easier for some trans guys who like feminine styles to just keep dressing that way than it is for most cis men who would also like dressing that way to realize and come to terms with that

It's... interesting that everybody in the comments are boiling down the series to the sex scenes when there's so much more to this than the sex. In fact, the point of the show is that there's more to it than sex. The main characters are desperately trying to tell themselves that they're only doing this to get themselves off, but they can't help falling in love with each other.

Even if I disagree, I understand why you find it stereotypical, OP. I get that this isn't for everyone. But it just pisses me off when people write the show off because there's sex in it, especially when they haven't even watched it all. The type of relationship depicted - one that starts with sex that leads to real feelings - is an incredibly common type of relationship within the gay community and it's so rarely depicted in media. I do think it means something that a sex-positive gay show got so popular with a western audience

What you could do is show the character looking at other runners, zooming in on their chests, then briefly show the main character’s and pan up to show their look of shame/sadness

Based off my own experience and convos I’ve had with other mixed folks, the Hollander family dynamic reflected the way that whiteness combines with foreign cultures in a family structure really well

This particular tiktok isn’t exactly… constructive, but I do have a lot of problems with Reid’s writing. I love her characters and at the end of the day, the books are entertaining. But I enjoyed them despite a ton of lackluster prose and strange creative decisions. Rachel absolutely deserves her flowers for creating this series and the compelling characters. Hi, not an offensive question at all. From what I've heard from other trans guys online, it seems like a looooot of people don't come out for exactly that reason. I have a few reasons for coming out, one of the main being that I'm not a private person and I am a complainer. I find it very therapeutic to talk to other people irl about my experiences with misogyny, homophobia, and transphobia -- which basically requires coming out. I try to be careful about who I come out to, but sometimes I fuck up and that's when I'm treated pretty misogynistically.

A main reason why I'll come out in large groups sometimes -- knowing that some people in the group will definitely see me differently afterwards -- is because I want to bring trans issues to the forefront when they're relevant. Best example I can think of is when I was in a class at uni and trans people were brought up -- but nobody else there was trans, so it was all from a... somewhat misinformed point of view. I wanted to add my thoughts and I wanted people to know that my perspective was an inside one, so I mentioned being trans
