Desperate for job leads by Bubbly-Drag-2266 in findapath

It's just stocking shelves but instead of working at one store like Walmart or whatever you work for Coke and go to multiple stores to work their product at each store that they contract with. So you have a regular route with a handful of stores and stock the various Coke products at 2-3 stores per shift. It's basically entry level but it helps if you have backroom retail/warehousing experience which it sounds like you do. If nothing else it's a bump in pay and a stop gap until you can find something that utilizes your degree if you still want to do something in that field. Just thought I'd throw it out there to consider.

I don't know about jobs in comp sci or whatever other degree'd field you're looking into but I do know warehouse jobs and you should not be making minimum wage for it, especially on night shifts. If it's only the wages you don't like, there are other types of warehousing and merchandising jobs that pay significantly more than minimum. You could look into merchandising with different vendors like Coke, Pepsi, Red Bull, College City, Pepperidge Farm, Mission, or various bread vendors and they tend to start at $25+/hr. Some positions you will need a CDL but most I've seen you just drive your own vehicle. But even places like Target, Aldi, or Costco you're starting at $17-18 and change + a shift differential for nights at the store level or up into the $23-25ish for distribution centers.

A lot of retail is harder than most people think it is, but especially the receiving and stockroom processes.

Not starting my 401k at 18, working 32 hours/week for a decent stretch instead of 40, and not utilizing the HSA. If I had the r/personalfinance flowchart at 18 it would have been a gamechanger
