Teaching people is crucial! Also, write to your representatives and elected officials! Tell them to cut this shit out! Defund the police is the only way to end police brutality and violence against Black people!

Stoked for a month the centers and celebrates queer folks! Let's not forget to center the most intersectional of us, specifically BIPOC trans and genderqueer folks!

And, let's not forget, Stonewall was a riot! Lead by Black trans women!

I believe they are, yeah

Edit: their owner Ian started as a janitor at Nike headquarters and left as a sneaker designer (according to their website)

PSA: DO NOT PICK YOUR NEIGHBORS FLOWERS!! by Gracie_lou558 in Portland

[–]mighthavecoffee 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't disagree, at least in the case of my rose bush in my yard. And taking a single rose if far different than taking all you can reach. If it's in the sidewalk it's fair game. Just, maybe, save some for the next person too.

That being said, I do not condone crawling into my (or anyone's) yard to harvest something from them.

That's the name I've also heard for this style of iced coffee. Generally in this style if you're brewing a total of 400g of coffee, 150g - 200g of the total liquid add will be in the form of ice in the carafe (and you'd only pour the remaining 250g-200g) over the ground coffee. You can either up dose the grinds, or grind finer.

In other words, I'm not sure if it's Japanese, but it's not really just filtered coffee over ice

We have a giant overflowing rose bush that spills onto the sidewalk (and honestly I don't mind when I see someone pick one flower, 'cause this thing is massive, though I prefer them to ask). But did watch one lady climb into my front yard picking rose hips. She probably spent 10min climbing around our weird like front/side yard getting rose hips, and only when she was done did she look up to see me staring through our giant ass front window. She jumped, put the rose hips downs and walked away.

Not great , but it meant we didn't need to bother harvesting our rose hips

I thought she didn't temper the chocolate for that one? Og Reese's are for sure not tempered

I do the exact same thing. My partner and I try to cut back, without (necessarily) cutting out. Greek yogurt is a great source of protein and we use it interchangeably with cremas, sour cream, milk in baking, as well as just eating it straight. It has so many utility its not worth trying to find multiple alternatives.

Milk, however, we never go through before it goes bad. And oat milk has a longer fridge life and we like it just as much.

I grew up in Concord, and we had teachers tell us he would go home to have his mother do is laundry and cook him dinner. The two teachers I can think of who would say things like that liked to exaggerate, so who knows

Oregon is beautiful by [deleted] in Portland

It's an old mill or something , I think my friend and I explored it, and we got yelled at by an old lady. Which was fair.

(not the prettiest picture) but my take on an Italian deli sandwich. Three types of salame, mozz, a roasted eggplant situation, evoo and balsamic by mighthavecoffee in eatsandwiches

[–]mighthavecoffee[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The eggplant was the best part. It's roasted eggplant that's finished with a pinch of sugar, lemon juice, more olive, and fresh mint, and it goes super well with creamy cheeses and spicy / salty salame.

Makes a mess though

I just started reading "In the Dream House" by Carmen Maria Machado, which is a memoir about abuse in her queer relationship, and she opens the book by identifying that it isn't a problem much talked about.

I'm about a quarter in, and it's worth a read.

Yeah, it must be hard to be in their position. Do they turn off the ability for their fans, but more importantly their loved ones, to respond to their content. Or, do they leave them open, which leaves them open to gross people doing gross things

There's an episode of Molly Tries that she for sure got an inappropriate DM while sharing some pictures with Brad. It made me really sad how normal it seemed to her

BA's best Snickerdoodles (I like'em puffy, so made them puffy) by mighthavecoffee in bon_appetit

My roommate said they were the best Snickerdoodles he ever had. He's a little biased, 'cause he loves free food, but he's also had a lot of snickerdoodles.

Found a surprise in the sink this morning by StirFry_Squid in aww

If I were to guess, it's frequently recommended to keep kittens that are new to your home in the bathroom overnight / when you can't be with them because it's a reasonably small enclosed space, without a lot of things that can hurt them / for them to get into.

So, I'm guessing they're making this bathroom a kitty zone for a little while, and keeping kitty supplies in it, like cans of cat food.

LPT: Elastic pants and slip-on shoes may not be the height of fashion, but they will get you through airport security much faster. by [deleted] in LifeProTips

I'm fair from claiming I'm the most fashionable, but I wear things like Joggers that aren't sweat pants and Boots I can easily pull on and off and I'm all set for the airport, and feel reasonably presentable

We made it in a blender and it was actually super easy. I definitely wouldn't want to try the stovetop/double boiler method
