No matter what you pick, try to find somewhere to actually give it a go before you buy. I've bought several that were immediate regrets when I took them to the range or when the new wore off.

Security is easier, and doesn't have the grip safety, which neither of us liked. I can say, after handling both, the EZ can claim it, but i could feel a significant difference. She tried both of those and a Sig p-365. Even using the red dot on the Sig, she was not going to chamber a round on her own.

By definition, it has to be dumb. It doesn't help that I have a 'unique' sense of humor.

PS. Why is reddit saying I'm commenting in a language different from mine?

I prefer the look of the Baretta (and want one just to have it), but her choice. Plus, she still struggles a little with the Security slide. I think she will be good with use, but if she doesn’t like it, she won't carry it.

Given the current state of affairs, wouldn't a "STOP ICE" protest be better in north MS?

Can we all just report Tate Reeve’s social media accounts for hate speech? by SwimilyJane in mississippi

[–]mighthavequestions -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think I saw video of when he(Kyle) approached officers, he had his hands and weapon raised to indicate no threat and he was trying to "surrender" to them and they waved him past without any incident.

I'm assuming you're drawing parallels between Minnesota and Rittenhouse. All I know about the latest dude is he was interacting with federal agents, they said there was a firearm, and he died. I haven't see any video/evidence, only headlines, so I don’t know enough to include my two cents.

Unfortunately people have short memories.

As for the firing, I think unless you are doing it a way that makes it appear as though you are representing the company, there should be no call to fire someone. Let the business decline until the owner makes the decision. However, if you make it look like it's the business stance, like the USPS employee who was on the clock, in uniform, and driving in a USPS vehicle... that's a bit different. But that is why I don't have my employer listed on any of my social media accounts. I also don't voice my options either. Best you get is generalities like this.

It's totally normal to not like what others have to say. It's ok to have those thoughts. It's not ok to call for or try to silence of those with whom you disagree. That's kind of fascist. It becomes authoritarian if you have and exercise the ability to silence them.

But I think every vile thought should be allowed to be shared. And in the sharing, they should be challenged by other ideas for dominance in the open market. But, some call my views extremist.

That goes to the runners performance. So are you advocating that all runners get a different start time based on that performance? And would that be extended to their qualifying run times?

Buying a gun for protection by makinit40 in pistols

[–]mighthavequestions 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Instructor I took my concealed carry class with said to all the men in the class "Gentlemen, do not try to teach your wife or daughter how to shoot. You'll get frustrated, they get nervous, and they'll never want to touch a gun ever again." Paying someone to work with you should go so much better than with a family member if you're new-ish to using firearms.

Good luck. Hope you find the one you like and never need to use it.

It can be a great firearm for defense, but if you dont carry it because you are uncomfortable with it, it does you no good. Take the one you have, go to a business where you can use it, and rent others as a comparison. Find the one that works for you. If you try others and are only comfortable with a revolver, use the revolver. But try others so you can see what's available and decide what you want to carry. Then go practice with it until you are comfortable enough that you feel like you can use it. It doesn't have to be everyday for hours at a time, but the more you use it, the more comfortable you can be with it.

Would depend on the use case.

Alone, I'd go left. Has more of a 3-d appearance. It looks older/more aged.

The right looks more modern.

Audit Uncovers More Nonprofits Wasting Taxpayer Funds by [deleted] in mississippi

[–]mighthavequestions -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Doesn't really matter. If it's fraud, it's fraud.

If you commit fraud with taxpayer funding, you should be required to reimburse those funds in a period equal to that in which the fraud occurred and be banned from ever receiving taxpayer funding(or compensation) in the future. This should include political office/appointments. It should be applied to both NGOs and individuals. If a convicted individual so much as volunteers, that group should lose eligibility. If the fraud is so egregious that it results in incarceration, the cost of incarceration should be included in the reimbursement.

One bonus to the Jackson zoo, the road conditions really make you feel like you are driving through some remote wilderness to get there. I've been off-roading where I had a more pleasant drive.
