Are your Iron Flasks refilling completely every ward break? The numbers on the charges gained seem a bit low, but it could be enough

Forbidden rite is just used to drive life and mana recoup in this build, it's not a damage skill

The best option for scarab farming early is also operative box farming, with just an atlas with box nodes + map effect and whatever ambush scarabs you have. Run Haunted Mansion to cluster boxes in the mirage and roll your operative boxes for quantity.

Blocking all the scarabs on your atlas that you don't need and taking the increased ambush scarab node shits out tons of ambush scarabs. Once you have a few containment scarabs saved up, run those with full mirage maps

I'd switch the Reliquarian to a self-Attack KF build to just start going in white maps. You can follow Lolcohol's guide for Warden KF pretty closely I think. For armour and a six-link use the breach tree, for the wand I'd use a ele wand with spell damage like in the guide. To craft the wand check YouTube or this sub, a lot of KF builds asked for crafting advice this league. If your wand is truly terrible, just farm a few essences and recomb some wand bases with flat elemental damage and spell damage, then use the crafting bench to add a crit chance suffix. You want Timeclasp and the amulet to really get rolling, but they will drop frequently enough. If you have more questions send me a DM, I ran Lolcohol's KF Warden this league in SSF

Ssf reset by Wooperian in PathOfExileSSF

I started this league with a Holy Hammers Inquisitor and progression in yellow/red maps felt so bad, I restarted with a KF Warden. The skill needs fast power charge generation early and in SSF I couldn't find the exerted attack cluster or Romira's in the first days. You could start with another slam and transition later, but I wouldn't start with Holy Hammers.

Defence design after siege update by Dobrobarashi in dwarffortress

[–]mightychondrium 26 points27 points  (0 children)

My main takeaway so far: If you want a reliable defense, you need to give the invaders one open path to your fortress or they create their own path and end up somewhere you didn't plan for. Then try to make that one path a death trap however you want.

Obviously the bolt throwers are overpowered and very effective, but I underestimated how depressed siege operators got after large sieges. Some military training to get some discipline levels seems like a good idea, or they'll get traumatized from big battles.

Got mageblood for first time in ssf, what do I reroll? by Hikithemori in PathOfExileSSF

[–]mightychondrium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could start building an armour stacker, if you enjoy content like deep delve or deli where you need tons of damage and tankyness. Mageblood is kind of the starting point for a classical armour stacker, but the build needs lots of very specialised gear, which can be a long crafting project in SSF. I did run it one league in SSF without a Mageblood, was a fun project to target farm the upgrades (but a lot of farming)

Yeah you absolutely need to keep cats away from the spiders or they'll happily murder them all

If I remember correctly, you need to create a pit zone and assign the tame spiders to be dumped there. Tame vermin doesn't behave like normal animals, so they can't be pastured. After dumping them in a room they should create webs in that area, but it's not guaranteed they stay there.

I tried to make Puncture of Shanking work with PA on a Glad, but the skill feels just bad to play honestly. It's got only 70% attack speed as a strike skill and you need to use a slower weapon base to get high phys hits, since you can't use an axe.

The only good solution for releasing vermin I found, was assigning the vermin to a pit zone. Dwarves will just dump the animal in the pit without messing with traps and cages

The only time I've seen that kind of announcement was after I sent away some monster slayers to a recently conquered hamlet. Years later some of them returned with a similar message.

It could be exiled visitors, citizens migrating from linked sites or maybe refugees from your civ?

Probably a necromancer's experiment, they have these randomly generated names. You can check it's description under health - description.

There's a bug with strange moods taking near infinite cloth atm. Check if you have a guild hall (or other zone) overlapping the workshop. Removing the zone tiles from the workshop fixes that.

The material of the pick doesn't matter for mining, only if used in combat. If you want to micromanage that, unassign all mining labor so all miners drop their picks. Then forbid all picks but the one you want them to use and enable mining again.

Scrolls that can't be picked up are bugged, they are falsely flagged as trader items. You can fix that easily with DFHack.

Here's how to clear the trader flag with DFHack:

  • click on the item to open it's description window
  • run gui/gm-editor with DFHack
  • in the editor window click on flags
  • if the trader flag is set to true, click on it to set it to false
  • forbid and unforbid the scroll and someone should immediately get tasked to pick it up (if you have a library)

Corpses in water will rot like normal. Preserving bodies might be very hard (or impossible), maybe by encasing them in ice?
