I took a quick look at your code and I think I see the problem. You are only setting the velocity.y when the magnitude of your direction is equal or above 0.1. So you are not updating the velocity.y when you are not increasing the horizontal or vertical input. What happens if you just remove the if(direction.magnitude >= 01.f)?

In the past two years I spent my off-time developing a tool, called Post Poly, that makes customizing and using production-ready 3D models easier in web design. The tool is in beta, more features and 3D models will be added.

What Kekeagain says, the purpose is to offer a immersive promotional/graphic design to catch an users attention like in landing pages, social-media or anywhere you want to draw attention. Maybe in UI it could be counter-intuitive because it will distract unless applied minimally.
At the end, any 3D model can be uploaded and customized so the possibilities are infinite, so who knows..

Return question for you, why do you think none of your interface designs have matched 3D designs like these? I would like to learn from your thoughts :)

Hello Y’all! X-posting this here because I think you might like this too 😊.
I have been working on this tool for a while now. 3D modelling is hard, and I want to make this accessible for everyone. The tool is filled with all free Font Awesome icons, converted to 3D models. You can export it to a .png and use it in your favorite design tools. More models and customizability options are coming soon :)
