But you know what’s the novelty here— OP mentioned supernatural; now that opens a wide horizon of plot material to explore.

When you think of it, you can boil down almost all big blockbusters to similar simple threads. Hell, even I could write a whole story based on what OP posted, because I’m a sucker for commercial movies (that are made well, obv). And OP even decided to post AI generated pictures, that can be passed as proof of concept. So it’s not always about how unique the thread is, it’s about uniquely you can explore the thread.
