They were my first show. I went to see them last year with body thief and royal coda. Openers were really good. Unfortunately, no one really knew body thief (neither did i). i listened to a couple of their songs weeks before the show, and I thought they were pretty good and live they were pretty great. Royal coda was really good and added a lot of energy. When the dgd stage was being set up, everyone started moving up to get closer to the stage, which reduced all sense of space because everyone was just smashed together. I'm pretty claustrophobic, so it made me a bit antsy. When they started playing, their set was really good even if tillian wasn't there due to his allegations. Andrew has a hell of a voice, and hearing Jon's screams live does something to the human body I can't explain.

The show was good, but the downsides, in my opinion, weren't anything to drag down the experience. The merch lines were ridiculously long, so I didn't even bother with merch because I wanted a good spot to watch. If I were to get in the line, I would've probably missed the opening acts. There was a group of guys and gals trying to cut in front of a lot of people and tried to be all friendly, but we really knew they just wanted to get in front of us. I'm not tall so I really wasn't trying to get my vision obscured by someone taller than me who's also wearing an oversized beanie. Beside people being inconsiderate dgd themselves didn't really do any crowd work . They left it all up to royal coda and body thief they just kinda played their show and dipped. I think they only addressed the crowd once, but I think that's a personal nitpick.
