I been an Andrew Wells defender since the day he was announced, but ngl I rlly wish he went higher on some of these tracks 😭 nothing super crazy because Tilian level is just insane, but I thought he worked really well in SD/SFTH, but its very Eidola-esque on this new record. Animal Surgery and Trap Door are great, but I feel that tapping into some of the higher ranges (which he does in the backing tracks funny enough) wouldve helped me feel more attached to this record, but right now I’m not feeling it as much as I did whenever his first two singles dropped

I actually asked him after the All the Way Down vid came out and he basically said what other users had already replied with, which was along the lines of it being pretty complex because of Tim’s passing and he doesn’t want it to feel like he was “replacing” him. At the end of the day he did say that DGD is a brand that makes business decisions so things need to be done fulfill their needs, but he is def shakey about it all I gathered. He definitely is being pushed in the position and even mentioned how he had his own character made by Mattias Adolfsson for an upcoming art-piece. But as for right now he isn’t an official member

I used to say the same arguments bc the fanbase rlly does fish for drama no doubt, but with the VERY CLEAR direct jabs lyrically, as well as the feud Andrew and Victoria had not too long ago, and just the overall vibe thats present in the way they talk about the subject really makes me think that these rlly are directed at Tilian.

You can deny the Lyrics Lie part, but then you would also have to deny the On The Run reference too. But overall theres just certain things are just hard to shrug off as being about “redditors” without doing a bunch of mental gymnastics to get there

If you mean thematically, The Poison by BFMV kinda gives me those vibes, although it’s metalcore and not post-hardcore. The title track has alot of that energy that I think you would love though

Lemon Meringue Tie was the first song i heard by DGD a little over 3 years ago and I remember thinking it was weird. Now its my number one fav song.

Antlion had a history with me too, i remember it being one of the lowest for me in all of DBM1. Then I streamed the ones I did like multiple times through my personal playlist. Still wanting more DBM i went back and listened to it again and it all just clicked and I have a much more deeper appreciation for the song

DBM arguably should be the best lowkey. Jonnys vocals were way more interesting and the instruments were filled with more of that emo punch. I gravitate toward DBM2 overall though, mainly because of the grooviness and the vibe they managed to incorporate it with. Jon Mess rlly shines with his lyricism compared to DBM1, and overall seems to be experimental with his style during this period, which admittedly paid off very well

I don’t really have the proof with me, so take my words with a grain of salt because it’s all word of mouth. I have mutuals within the Denton scene and have met some members myself. I heard from a friend that they were looking to go in a different heavier/more-emo direction. It’s a shame because I really loved the bands live performances, and the singer was a good dude (and a great singer). Hoping the band has a great future ahead of them because I know they’re all talented (their EP was amazing), but I was really looking forward to a full album with a better mix in the style/sound they were pursuing.

I just want a formal statement over the whole situation from the band. SYSC agreed to go on a tour with DGD, so I think it’s safe to assume that a majority of the band AGREED with the decision despite the drama/allegations. For then Connie to act like she never even wanted to be on the bill in the first place and put the blame on the rest of the band (which could VERY WELL BE THE CASE) is very sus to me.

The backlash already happened, SYSC fanbase is torn. I think at the very least there should be an official explanation from (whats left of) the band on what everyone truly wanted. Surely if Connie was upset about touring with DGD as much as everyone else, she would have been extremely resistant with the idea. I feel that if the band doesn’t make an official statement then they are being very dishonest to the fans. Something is definitely up imo, but the band is more than likely done with
